RTE caught up with Sarantez on the off-day after game 3.

RTE: How do you feel about the playoffs so far?

Sarantez: Good, I mean we are in the Finals and only two teams can say that every year, but we are doing 1 and no on remembers the team that came in second, so we just gotta get back to our game, make smart plays, stay out of the box, get pucks on net, and score some fecking goals ya know.

RTE: Anything you think needs to be changed up?

Sarantez: I think it always starts with yourself, I have to get better. I have to stay out of the box, make good passes out of the zone, get in front of more shots and if the boys see me giving it my all, I think that inspires others. It would be the same if someone else just gave it 110% as well, it give ya the energy to push yourself harder. But I can only control myself, so if I get better and someone else pushes their self, it definitely creates a domino effect on the ice.

RTE: What do you expect in the next couple of games?

Sarantez: Wins, haha. I expect us to regroup, get it going, and make some plays for sure.

RTE: Looking forward to the draft?

Sarantez: No.

RTE: No?

Sarantez: We are in the Finals, man. I don't have time for anything else. Teams have reached out and people are texting me, it is annoying. Like I am here for one thing right now, to win the Cup. I don't give a shit about what happens after that right now. All these teams need to stop. I don't care right now. Call me when this shite is done and over. Then we can talk about the future, but right now the only future I have is the next game.

RTE: It's ok. Think Pedro is proud of where you are sitting right now?

Sarantez: Yeah, I haven't talked to him during the Finals, I think he wants me to have some space. But yeah, I know everyone has my back and are proud of me. I am playing my best not just for me, but for them. And to have the one things my uncle doesn't haha.
