Team Alpine WJC - Captaincy Announcement

Registered Posting Freak Welcome to the S50 WJC Captaincy Announcement for Team Alpine. After last year's success at the WJC, we want to win the WJC again this year - even without the help of Germany. For this, we need to have a competent team of captains. So without further ado, let's see who our captains are going to be. The first Alternate Captain will be… Daniel Bischoff @dylanjj37 First off is Daniel Bischoff. Being such a leader in the locker room, we just couldn't pass on him being one of the two alternate captains. His leadership reflects on the ice as well. Working hard every shift, never taking his foot off the gas. When he's ending his shift, he's already ready to go out again. His will to give his best reflects on his teammates - which was also a huge factor on selecting him as an alternate captain. The second Alternate Captain will be… Ricky Bobby @ImASurvivor Speaking of leadership, let's get to our second guy, Ricky Bobby. Ricky would put his hand into fire for you. If one of our young guns forgot something, Ricky is always helping out. His will to help in every situation is a reason we picked him as our alternate captain. This willpower reflects on the ice as well, as he analyses every play and, if possible, gives feedback to his teammates. If you think his play would lose its quality because of that - you could never be more wrong. Ricky also learns from these situations, barely doing something wrong on the ice. Leading the team as captain for Season 50's WJC will be... FR Finn-Rhys @FinnRhys I don't think that's a surprise. Everyone playing for Team Alpine knows how much Finn is willing to do for this team. Never saw him not giving his all playing for the team. Always throwing his body in to block a shot if it's possible. Throwing hits to show the opponent who's the boss on the ice. Potting goals and dishing out passes to lead the team in scoring. These are just some things Finn is willing to do on a daily basis for the team. It's no surprise to us that he won both the Harvey Danger award for top defenseman in last year's WJC, but also the Brady McIntyre award for the tournament's MVP. He was - and still is - a force to be reckoned with every time he steps on the ice. Besides being a leader on the ice, he's simply the kindest, most down to earth guy off the ice. Never saw a more kind guy in my career in the locker room than him. As such, he's the perfect leader for this team, no matter which way you look at it. We know we leave the team in good hands with these three leaders. We are very excited to start the run for the Gold medal as soon as possible. Everything now being said, we just have to wait for the WJC to begin - and show off why we are the ones deserving the Gold. Let's get these back-to-back Golds - for Austria and Switzerland!
