Coming off an IIHF silver medal, I'm pretty excited to be back at Minny and kick off this season. I've never done this before and figured I might as well...
Ask me anything, folks *ready for grading* 01-25-2020, 08:17 PMLeppish Wrote: Are you Happy with the Chiefs preseason so far? Any preseason where we could move on from the whole GM saga and keep our minds on playing the game we love was always going to be something I'd be happy with. We're still adjusting to changes from last season, but that's what preseason's about. Everyone's been working hard and I think come the regular season, we'll have polished our game as a collective. As for me, I'm definitely happy with my overall performance. It always feels good when people trust you out on the ice, and being thrown in the 2nd PP unit while already logging top pairing and PK minutes is amazing. I've been doing some endurance training after the IIHF tournament and trying to keep myself fit cause being an all-situations player ain't easy in the slightest. And it's no surprise the that when I'm out on the ice, the Chiefs have the 3rd best PP% + 7th best PK% in preseason 01-25-2020, 08:19 PMluketd Wrote: nice profile Says the one with an even better profile 01-25-2020, 08:28 PMMike Izzy Wrote: For the older SHL players who are starting to take notice of Noah Tedla and his rising tpe...tell us alittle about Tedla’s game.. what type of player does he want to become and who are players that Noah Tedla has taken notice of, admires or emulates in the SHL? I'd like to become the living embodiment of the ol' reliable meme. If you feel comfortable putting me out on the ice on the PK, PP, and in the top 4/top pairing in 5v5, I'll feel like I'm doing something right. And that requires being a good all-around d-man. Being a silky skater, facilitating in the offensive end, and limiting the amount of shots taken on my goalie are the three things I try to pride myself on. Now, I'm not 6'8 and 325 lbs, but @Slappydoodle is someone who I admire and try to emulate. He just seems to do everything really, really well. Even if I don't reach his level of play (which I likely won't), I imagine myself being a bit like him as I get older and my game develops. 01-25-2020, 11:39 PMTheHockeyist Wrote: Ah, I remember you when you joined the team, buddy. I hope 500 kg of jello is sturdy enough to get blasted with pucks going 85-100 mph. I'm putting it right in the crease and having an extra skater out there. Before the game starts, I'll make grilled cheese with moldy bread and anything @thiefofcheese is willing to hand over and after stoppages of play, I'll throw all of the sandwiches at the opposing team's bench and see how they enjoy their nice mid-game snack. If it's practice, I'll just make sure to keep a whistle on me and we'll all stop practice momentarily for you to tie your skates. Middle of a game, though? I'll have to take a delay of game or do something. 01-26-2020, 12:54 PMSegi Wrote: Between Moore and Seger, who do you prefer as your D-partner and why? Moore's a cool guy who I enjoy killing off PPs with, but I have to give it to the Swiss. I've seen him play at Anaheim and we played a whole bunch last season for club and for country, so naturally I feel more comfortable alongside him. He also doesn't break the glass in the practice facility after missing the net by a mile, so I don't have to feel as much second-hand embarrassment. (if this causes a fight in the LR I'm sorry) 01-26-2020, 01:06 PMdylanjj37 Wrote: dylan? Fondue before every game and Tibuk bailing my ass a whole lot. But other than that, we're just a group of really talented players. That's all it is. 01-26-2020, 01:56 PMCapt_Blitzkrieg Wrote: Are there any players on the team that you see having a breakout season? How about in the league? What's cool about being apart of the S48 draft class is that I've now reached that point where people in my year can now become productive players at the SHL level. Barrett Blackwood, Nick Connolly, shit, might even throw myself in that convo. 01-26-2020, 02:42 PMsköldpaddor Wrote: who is the best swede? Also, how do you feel about dogs? I feel disgusted to call myself a Minnesota Chief. Where's the integrity? Where's the respect? An American? Who hasn't regressed his player? In what universe can we possibly allow this? I feel sick to my stomach.

Ah, I remember you when you joined the team, buddy.
Three questions. I give you 500 kg of jello and your task is to use it to guarantee your team's win. How do you do it? You have 10 kg of bread. It can be fresh bread, stale bread, very stale bread, moldy bread, etc. How would you use this bread to infuriate someone as fast as possible? What if we were training together and you noticed my skate laces became untied mid-training? How'd you deal with that? Or in the preseason or regular season? (Assuming Collin was unavailable to assist me, I know he taught me, still out of practice, though...) S48 Four Star Cup Champion (Vancouver Whalers)
