Yes, this will mostly your usual Free Agent topic, where I reminisce about my career so far, list the teams I'd like to play for and say a few words about expectations for my player in terms of demands, fit etc.
So let's get this started with saying what I have liked and disliked respectively in my time in the SHL, since SMJHL while was great to play, still barely matters in my ultimate goal here, which is to get into Hall of Fame.
In 500 games so far Czerkawski scored decent 393 points, despite rather pathetic 3 first seasons, which gives not terrible 0.786 points per game. We've seen players enter the hall with a similar ratio and on average, about 950 GP & 770 P were required for forwards (shoutout to @Blastmeaway for the numbers), so he is almost on pace. Other things he has going are individual accolades which include 2 1st /1 3rd All-Star Teams, 2x Jay MacDonald winner & once a nominee for Ron Mexico.
Team-wise Czerkawski was lucky, not only to play almost his entire with another Legend Oisin Fletcher, but also make the postseason 10 times already (which is a bit misleading, since despite 10 Regular Seasons in SHL he didn't make it every year - was called up in time for S42 Finals with NEW, but missed the playoffs next year). Played in Challenge Cup 4 times (S42 NEW, S45 EDM, S46 NOS & S52 SFP), but only EDM run ended up in a trophy. Of course much is left ahead (at least 6 seasons, probably more) so hopefully, I'll be able to improve the already not barren candidature.
So about the team's section, where I make tiers to say I'd love to play and wouldn't consider it unless hell froze - well I'm lucky to consider to not have any big beefs or anything of sorts going on to prevent me from joining any team, so any GM or player is free to give an offer and pitch and the least I can offer is to give it consideration. Maybe I'd slightly prefer continuing Czerkawski's career of a journeyman, but I've got to say he still has some unfinished businesses, whether more recently in SFP or in Big Easy, that team despite being juggernaut since the inception still is somewhat unlucky in the postseason.
And for the last part some words about playstyle switch - so far Piotr has been a two-way pass-first player (who somehow won Jay MacDonald twice, welp STHS, won't miss yah), but with recent engine changes, he is best described as Wing Dangler, that you can rely on to carry the bulk of the scoring and he doesn't hesitate to create opportunities for points. He is still competitive in basically every area, but with that characteristic, I'd expect him to be the 1st Line, Power Play threat. He is still going strong with well over 1600 TPE and will be for foreseeable future. Just like I said to the team that already reached out, I'm fine with the minimum, but wouldn't mind taking extra money either.
Anyway, that's it from me, let's have an awesome S53 in the FHM!
