We have just received news that star New England forward Dick Clapper has reportedly tested positive for the novel coronavirus. How is this going to shake out for the team? For starters that's a huge hole he's leaving behind in the first line that will be hard to be filled while he recovers. More importantly, does the whole team need to self-isolate? Perhaps Leitner getting traded during the off-season was the best thing that could have happened to him as now he won't be missing a portion of the season.
From a distance we got some quotes from a variety of teammates. hotdog: I just hope this doesn't disqualify our team from the season. We've worked so hard to build a strong contender and it's important that we get to see how this plays out. Danglechek: Well it sure is a good thing that he has someone to take care of him, while he recovers. It's important that he gets some rest in order to be able to join us again in time for the playoffs. Zheng: Honestly, I've already forgotten about him. He was a weak link on our team. We wish him the best and hope he has a rapid recovery. ![]() Registered S45 Challenge Cup Champion
In the Kalju camp news of Clapper reportedly testing positive for the coronavirus were received with mixed feelings, terrible that a young athlete has to miss games because of a deadly illness. In the other hand, the possibility of an increase in ice time put a smile on Kaljus face: finally, I get to play more, finally, I get to try playing as a winger.
