Well hello there, true believers. It is I, your faithful keyboard warrior here to bring you some exciting, if not lamentable, hockey news. This news, the news on the hearts and minds of all fans of the tireless blue-collar fourth-liner, is Luffy Richard's hunt to break his point total record from last season. With just a few games left, the Whalers winger needs just a single solitary point to push him past his previous mark of ten points. Though his goal total is down this season, Luffy has added points on the penalty kill, earning a short-handed goal to go along with two short-handed helpers, as well as helping his linemates score more while playing a more defensive role this season.
If he breaks his own personal record this season, or not, the off-season will be filled with much training and improvement from the entire Vancouver Whalers squad. Luffy Richard made strides in many areas to improve his play, but he has his mind clear and focused on what he must bring to the table next season, especially as he looks to be drafted by one of the big squads. This coming week will be a challenge for Luffy Richard. The question on the minds of all true believers is, will he be up to the task both physically and mentally?
