Hello there, Whaler faithful, it is your Keyboard Warrior here to once again bring you the news of what happened in today sims, and how Luffy Richard faired on the ice.
Anchorage Armada at Vancouver Whalers and Vancouver Whalers at Anchorage Armada, that is right, hockey fans, another Whaler/Armada home and home. I can assure you that these two teams are sick of seeing each other, but will the Whalers be vindicated today? The first game was an Overtime win 3-2 over the hated boats that make up the Anchorage Armada. Yes, many a boat were sunk in this contest, as the Whalers showed their grit and determination to win. Luffy Richard did a little bit of everything in this game, adding another assist for his fourth point of the season, two blocked shots, a takeaway and a giveaway, as well as four penalty minutes. This new trend in taking penalties can be chalked up to an investment in aggression, as Luffy Richard wished to be more physical. Hopefully, he can temper that aggression as his team needs him on the penalty kill. The next game saw a fatigued Whaler squad outshot my a wide margin, unable to crack double digits in shots, and falling four to one to the hated Anchorage Armada. Like much of his team, Luffy Richard had a quiet game and only managed to record two hits. Through both contests, Luffy Richard stayed at a neutral plus/minus, but we would think he would want to start pushing towards a positive plus/minus. I asked Luffy how he felt about his game, and he said he is happy to move closer to a consistent producer on offense but wishes his defensive game could be more dominant. He hopes to increase his physicality and stamina to wear down opponents, making it easier for the offensive threats of the Whalers to dominate the ice. Until next time, Keyboard Warrior, out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
