after a few days of vacation, your Keyboard Warrior has returned to bring you the sim that was on this fine Augustian day.

Vancouver Whalers at Kelowna Knights

Light schedule for today's sim. That's a shame, but let us get down to the nitty-gritty of today's contest. Spoiler alert -- it did not go well for our beloved Whalers --

The finally tally was 5-0 in favor of the nights, whose ridiculous goal song should count as torture. It doesn't even fit the theme of their team. Yeah, I said it! 

But it wasn't all bad news; it was terrible news. Terrible.

The Whalers barely cracked double digits in shots, and hung out in their own zone as if they were afraid to get lost going any farther than their blue line.   

Luffy Richard takes most of the blame, as he did not eat enough Rowdy Ramen to give the team the spice they need for victory. Luffy Richard had two shots on goal, as well as one blocked shot, one takeaway, and spent two minutes and thirty seconds on the penalty kill. His defensive game was strong, well as strong as could be expecting while getting beat down, walking away from the game with a neutral plus-minus.

And that's the game that was, Whaler fans. Hopefully tomorrows sim will have a more positive outcome.
