RICH AND LUKE: THE MOVIE (PART 3)

INT. POLICE STATION OFFICE - DAY

ML002 sits behind a desk, typing on the computer as Rich feeds him information. Rich sits in front of the desk.

RICH
I need to find out where the Beans
are keeping him. It sounds like
they’re based out of Western
Canada, where Oats lives.

ML002
I think there’s a good chance that
if we can find Oats, we can find
Luke.

RICH
I think so too. The only problem is
that I can’t figure out exactly
where he is. He mentioned the
general area he lives in on a
podcast episode but not a city.

ML002
Looks like we need an IP address.

RICH
That would be great, but I thought
only HO could access them.

On ML002’s screen, we see him un-hide a section of the SHL forums labeled “Head Office”. He swivels his computer monitor around to show Rich.

ML002
When I left SMJHL Head Office last
season they forgot to revoke my
privileges. I’ve never tried to
look at IP addresses, though.

A topic within the sub-forum is labeled “SHL USER INFORMATION: CLASSIFIED”. There is a skull-and-crossbones icon to the left of the name.

He clicks on it and is prompted to enter a password.

RICH
Oh, try “Simulation Hockey League”.

ML002 types it in. It works! He has access.

ML002
How did you know that?

RICH
Oh, uh. It’s the name of the
website.

ML002
Oh, okay.

With a few clicks, ML002 finds the location of Oats.

ML002 (CONT’D)
Here, got it!

A map zoom’s in on Oat’s profile picture, showing that he lives way up north in Dawson City in Canada’s Yukon Territory.

ML002 (CONT’D)
Looks like you’re going to Dawson
City.

RICH
I guess I have to book a flight.

While navigating back to the SHL home page, ML002 accidentally clicks on another sub-forums labeled “SUPER SECRET”.

We see Rich and ML002 look at the screen in horror and disgust, but we can’t see the screen itself.

ML002
Oh my god! What is this?

RICH
I don’t think we’re supposed to see
this...

ML pukes under his desk. Meanwhile, his cell phone rings. He picks it up, the ID says “Unknown Caller”. He gingerly answers the call.

ML002
... Hello?

CUT TO:

INT. SHL HEAD OFFICE - CONTINUOUS

In a large office overseeing a bustling city, we see the back of an office chair. A man sits in the chair, holding a phone to his ear. The name tag on his desk reads “NOUR: SHL COMMISSIONER”.

NOUR
(to the phone)
You weren’t supposed to see that,
ML.

CUT TO:

INT. POLICE STATION OFFICE - CONTINUOUS

ML002
(into the phone)
Who is this?

NOUR
(through the phone)
I can see from your web-cam that
Rich is with you.

ML002 frantically covers the monitor’s webcam with his hand.

ML002
Look... we can both forget we ever
saw this.

CUT TO:

INT. SHL HEAD OFFICE - CONTINUOUS

Still only seeing the back of the chair, Nour twirls the cord of the phone with his finger.

NOUR
It’s too late for that.

Nour hangs up the phone. After a beat he stands up, looking down at the bustling city through his window with his back turned.

Standing in the corner of the room are TWO FIGURES wearing black suits. Their gold-plated name tags read “BOOM” and “CEMENTHANDS”.

NOUR (CONT’D)
(to the henchman)
Find them. Kill them.

Boom and CementHands swiftly dart out of the room.

FADE TO BLACK.
