Kraken - Battleborn
Eigth day of the regular season, Carolina Kraken begins their three-game spurt against Nevada Battleborn. Nevada looking to strike back immediately after yesterday’s humiliating loss. Going to first period Carolina Kraken already in control, creating chances left and right while not allowing Nevada to have any. 9 minutes in Nevada gets their first chance of the game, which ends up in a Blunt Man save, who has had a good stretch of games recently under his belt. 15 minutes into the game, Carolina still in control and looking to score the first. Vincent Wolfe with a brilliant attempt but fails to score under Battleborn goalie C.K. Supernaw. Golden Face with yet another attempt but misses by inches. Carolina completely in control of the game but its the Nevada Battleborn who strike out not first, but twice, within 20 seconds. First up Vladlen Sidorov opens up the game by scoring first and 13seconds later Noah Johns III scores another one past Blunt Man, to blow up the game wide open for Nevada. Ending first, Nevada leads 2-0

Going to second, Carolina still looking to dominate after suffering two swift deficits. First 5 minutes going well but they fail to score behind Supernaw, who lives up to his name slightly. Yesterday having 4 goals on 17 shots against Nevada, now having 24 shots on Nevada with 0 goals scored, Carolina are struggling with its efficiency. Could it be that theyve ran out of power yesterday? Never the less, Nevada today shows brilliant success in that area as they score third unanswered goal of the game as Juan Hunna-Pussent deflects one past Blunt Man. Nevada strikes out once more in the period as Raivo Helminen gets one in his name, making it 4-0 for Nevada. Comparing this game to the one they had yesterday, the tables have turned completely. The one with less shots now has more shots and no goals and the other way around, Nevada looking very strong this time. Ending second, they stand tall with their 4-0 lead.

Third period, Carolina needs to wake up if they still want to have a chance in this game. First 5 minutes Carolina is shooting from everywhere but its the Nevada player’s bodies that stop the shots. Valiant defending keeps Carolina from getting closer. 10 minute into the period and Tanjiro Kamado tallies one on his name, making it 5-0 for Nevada. Game now looks pretty over for Carolina as they fail to capitalize on every chance they have had this game. Horn sounds, game over Carolina, Nevada overcame with a massive 5-0 victory

Kraken - Falcons
Second game of the day, Carolina faces Detroit Falcons for fourth time this season. Carolina having won all three last appearances between these two teams looking to keep up their record while Detroit is looking to break it. First minutes go by very slowly as control is equal between the teams and little to no chances were created. 14 minutes into the game, Carolina Kraken open up the scoresheets. Ole Olson gets the rebound from Finn von Murphenstein and shoots it easily into half-empty Falcons net, taking his team the early lead. Right after that Jonathan Granström with brilliant chance, fails to score as Blunt Man completely robs him with his glove. Carolina Kraken with more and more control as the game progresses capitalized once more on their chances as Freyja Hellström shoots one past Valtteri Aalto. Kraken now in lead by 2 goals, continue to take more control over the game. With 17 shots during first period they stand in comfortable 2-0 lead heading to second period.

And in the second period, first up we have the Detroit Falcons stupid penalty. Carolina Kraken now with very great chance to score once more on powerplay, but fail to do so despite numerous shots. Valtteri Aalto right now is keeping Detroit in the game by not allowing any more goals by him, until Freyja Hellström scores his second of the game to make it 3-0 for Carolina. Detroit have struggles immensely during the first 5 minutes of second period get a slight grasp, but dont follow up all the way through to get behind Blunt Man. Meanwhile Carolina continues to keep up their barrage, Valttero Aalto is constantly under immense pressure, and as Tomas Lind goes on a breakaway to score Carolina’s fourth unsnawered goal of the game, things are really starting to look grim for Detroit. No control, no chances, and poor defending are costing them very much this game. Daedalus James gets one past Blunt Man to score Detroit’s first goal but one of not enough against Carolina. Minutes after Wen Baters takes notes from Daedalus James and scores Detroit’s second of the game. Great time to make a comeback as its not even 5 minutes left into second period. Detroit get a confidence boost with these 2 goals but fail to score more during second. Heading to third we stand in Carolina’s 4-2 lead

Third period, Detroit are looking to continue their comeback. Yngve Simonsson gets blocked valiantly by Carolina Kraken defenders but they cant keep Anton Mihailov in chains as he scored Detroit’s third unanswered goal to make it 4-3. Now its wide open all over again and Carolina are in bit of trouble. Blunt Man keeps Carolina in the lead during Detroit’s barrage but he cant control everything as Bjorn Thornsen ties the game from the blueline to make it 4-4. Detroit now more in control of things are bombing Blunt Man with shots, but he keeps his cool and Carolina’s net safe for a good while. Carolina completely fail to get back into the game during third period, heading into overtime thanks to Blunt Man who stood up his net during the Detroit last resort barrage.

Going overtime, Jimmy Jimmy slaps one into Valtteri Aalto, but fails to score. Minute after Freyja Hellström shoots one to him, Aalto saves. Luukas Lilja on the rebound, fails to score past Valtteri Aaltto. No goals were scored during overtime, heading to shootout in where Detroit Falcons finish up their comeback to take the win over Carolina Kraken.

Whalers - Kraken
Third and final game of the day, Carolina Kraken faces Vancouver Whalers for the first time this season. Game starts out very slowly until Vancouver picks up the gear, forcing Carolina to put on another gear themselves, which Vancouver couldnt answer. Kraken now in control and the only thing keeping Vancouver in the game is their goaltender, Jon St. Ark. First period tells us no tales until during the last 2 minutes, KnockedOut ByOvechkin opens up the rafters and scores first of the game, Vancouver takes the early lead. Very much even game so far, regardless of ByOvechkin’s goal. First period ends in Vancouver’s 1-0 lead

Going to second period Carolina are tailing Vancouver, but they manage to start out strong. First Finn von Murphenstein gets a great effort, followed up by Dexter Vaughn’s effort, but no use. Jon St. Ark seems to be unbeatable right now. Back in their own end of the ice, Vancouver manage to take advantage of their little chances during first minutes of second period as Sarah Burke scores himself one, making it 2-0 for his team. Carolina still managing to create chances but Whalers netminder St. Ark is just too big of a fish to handle for them. Whalers offensive efficiency comes out yet again as Devin Basher scores his teams third unanswered goal of the game. With nearly half of the game already played, Carolina need to start their comeback if they want to stay within Vancouver’s reach. Bobby Bergen hits the post and that is the closest Carolina got during the period. Second period ends with Vancouver in a convincing 3-0 lead

Third period, hopefully new Carolina Kraken – but no. Vancouver’s mental edge comes out on top of Carolina’s as they proceed to take control of the third period. Despite great attempts by Carolina’s forwards, Jon St. Ark still remains unbeaten in the game. 5 minutes left into the game, it now looks very grim for Carolina’s side of things. Vancouvers stomped on them during third period, claiming their first victory over Carolina Kraken this season.
