I have been in America for a few days and it is awesome! I do wish I was training with Team Russia for the World Junior Classic, but the IIHF decided there was not enough eligible players. Russia must play with a couple other countries under some strange acronym for a team name. That really sucks. Russia should have our own team and I belong on it. I will make it my goal to lead a team of young, talented Russian players for the next season’s tournament. For now, I will stick in America and continue to train for the Season 58 SMJHL Draft.
Congratulations to the Anchorage Armada for winning the Four Stars Cup. I predicated the Anaheim Outlaws would win, but what do I know? My prediction was simply based on who I think would win between group of outlaws and a boat. The thought is a group of outlaws would pirate the boat. What I failed to consider is that an “armada” is a fleet of ships. It would take a lot of outlaws to pirate an entire fleet. And in the case of Season 57, the Anaheim Outlaws fell short. But a great season from both teams. I would relish the opportunity to play for either team in Season 58 to help to get back to the Cup Finals.
Congratulations is also due to the Newfoundland Berserkers for winning the 1st overall pick in the upcoming SMHL Draft. I like how the league uses ping pong balls in a machine to determine who gets the first pick. In Russia, some leagues have teams take turns wrestling a bear. The team representative that lasts the longest with the bear gets the first pick in the draft. Suffice to say, ping pong balls is much safer.
I like all the TV streaming you have in America. I have Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Apple TV, Disney+, ESPN, and SHL TV! How do Americans find the time to watch all of this!? I can see how many Americans just sit on the couch and get fat. In Russia, we’re lucky to have four channels to choose from. To watch SHL, we must make my cousin Pedrag get on the roof and hold a sheet of aluminum over his head.
I like what the sport Americans call Nascar. Well, to be honest, watching cars drive around a circle for hours is kind of boring, but lots of girls go to the events. LOTS of girls. Many of these girls are topless. Sometimes the cars crash, which is also fun to watch. I don’t like for the drivers to get hurt though. Oh, it’s also sweet when the drivers get mad when one guy causes the other to crash. There’s time when they get into fights in the pits!
I like the quarterback named Tom Brady! This man is your GOAT because he always wins, has a supermodel wife, and has played in the championship in half of his career years. He’s even with a new team and takes them to the Super Bowl despite no preseason or training camp. He’s the Russian equivalent to the immortal President Vladimir Putin.
Speaking of a President, I like how America is crazy about politics. People in America are so crazy that they will smash the windows that they pay for with tax money. They are so crazy that they will get shot! Either way, America has a great grandpa for their President and Russia has the strongest man on the planet in charge.
I like living in America and look forward to staying here. That’s if I get drafted by an SMJHL team in America…and then later an SHL team in America. But I don’t mind going to Canada either. There’s a good number of SMJHL and SHL teams that are located north of this border. I’m sure I would like to live in Canada too. They have a man in charge of their country who has long hair and facial hair. He is like, how you say…a dude!
