Scarecrow's Preseason Day 3 (Games 6 and 7)
#1

The Scarecrow's had a heartbreaking day today, blowing 2 different leads and a loss coming in overtime. That being said we are still here to write another story and we gonna keep it positive. The young rookies, who I like to take about because I am biased, are still playing great. Ethan Bouchard, the young rookie, scored yet another goal today. Scooby Doo got his second assist of the preseason. Lebron Brady took 5 shots and overall there was a lot more pressure.

Player of the Day - Xavier Doom (Center)
Get used to this man's name because I will have to type about him a lot. Today he got his second Player of the Day honor. He was amazing the whole day on the ice and some of his stats were insane. For starters, in the second game, his defensive rating was a 99. If that doesn't tell you how good this man is then what will. He racked up 7 blocked shots through the two games. He was even able to add on 2 hits and a takeaway. He was powerful on offense too. 2 assists and a goal is pretty good if you ask me. He is ending the preseason with 3 goals and 6 assists which is the reason he has already earned this honor twice. I am a little sad though knowing in the near future, he may be called up.

Game 6
In game 6 the Scarecrows got up to a 2-0 lead and held it to the third period where they allowed 4 unanswered goals.

Top Performer - Zbynek Dobrovsky (Right Wing)
Zbynek had a great game on the ice. He was able to contribute a goal very early in the game, and play solid defense the rest of the time. On defense, he was able to get himself a blocked shot and 4 hits. He was even able to win 2 faceoffs. He was able to end the game with a 68 Grade and a 70 grade on offense. Zbynek was also one of few players with a 0 +/- which when you lose by 2, shows you at least somewhat did your part. Zbynek has proven to be a young leader and if he can hopefully keep up this production, you will be hearing about him more.

Play of the Game
At 17:02 in the first period, the Scarecrow's scared on a double assist play. Adrian Ayers made a great pass between 2 defenders to Doom who then juked out a defender, faked a shot, and hit it over to Zbynek who then scored. It was an all-around amazing play and had a little flashy to it. I hope to see it tomorrow morning on SportCenter just so I can see it again.

Game 7

Top Performer - Kit Kirkstone (Goalie)
Kit had yet another amazing performance. I know here and there he will have a weaker performance, but when he is on he is on. For started his grade on the game was a 91. He put up 44 saves, some impressive, some flashy, and some were from some bad defense. His save percentage was .936 which is incredible. If they took 100 shots they would have only made 6-7 so that says a lot. Kit has shown to be impressive time after time and could maybe even be up for some awards at the end of the season.

Defensive Trio
Jean-Locke Zidane, Daryl Urqhart, and Victor Federov have shown to be a defensive dou. Their combined stats in game 7 is just insane. 7 Total takeaways, 3 hits, and 6 blocked shots. They had an average 78 defensive rating, and were constantly everywhere. They were even able to add on a goal and 2 assists to their amazing defensive stat line. All of these guys wreck havoc by themselves, but when all together, they kill opponents. And that's not even including Xavier Doom and who puts the clamps in clamps.

Golden Shower Award

The golden shower award goes to the player who earns the most "Player of the Day" honors throughout the season. Every time a player wins Player of the Day they get 1 point added to their total. Top Performers don't get any type of points because I am trying to avoid giving Players of the Day any top performers even though in most cases they would win 2-3 of them for the day.

1. Xavier Doom (Center) - 2
2. Friedensreich Hundertwasser (Right Wing) - 1
