Good day, Star Gang. It is I, your Keyboard Warrior, bringing you the day that was in the Simulation Hockey League. We have three games set for this sim, Manhattan, Hamilton, and Buffalo. Two of our most hated rivals in one sim, boy I can taste the testosterone in the air. Wait...
Anyway, the Toronto North Stars are third in the league, second in the Eastern Conference, with forty-seven points. They sit behind Texas and Hamilton, so it is important that we win our game against our hated division rivals (drain the lakes). The first game against Manhattan saw a lot of goals for a normal amount of shots, but we will take it as the North Stars put the angry individuals to bed with out supper, six to three. Yes, you read that right. Without supper. I've been watching too much old-timey television and this is how they insulted each other back then, you ball bags. Shots were thirty to twenty-six in favor of the North Stars, with hits going in favor of Manhattan twenty-two to eighteen. Luffy Richard was a minus-one with two hits, so that is less than a nothing burger. It is a negative burger and I shall make sure he eats every bite when we get home. Now the first of our big game, though in our division every game is a big game because it is too close to ever give an inch. And I must say, because I didn't get to say it that much last season (like once i think) that the Toronto North Stars have once again beaten the Hamilton copper chickens (I went with a little alliteration this time) by the score of six to three. Shots were thirty one to twenty-five in favor of the North Stars, while hits when to Hamilton twenty-six to twelve so there might be a little black mixed in with the Toronto blue locker room. Luffy Richard actually showed up to this game, being a plus-two with an assist, a blocked shot, and a minor penalty. That is Luffy's third point of the season, and first assist. Maybe he wont be such a baby on the ride home. This is a four point game that goes in our favor, and those are precious points we needed to gain and to deny. Now let us see if we can close out this sim in a big way! Now year after year, season after season, rebuild after rebuild, the Buffalo Stampede have put a hurting on us. Torontonians flinch at the mention of that hated New York city. I am here, your Warrior of Clickity-Klack, to tell you that the Toronto North Stars have beaten the Buffalo Stampede for the third straight game, this time by the score of four to one. We have outscored Buffalo ten to two this season. You love to see it. that gives us a perfect six point sim. I will be tap dancing under the moon tonight, I tell you what. Shots were heavily in favor of Buffalo forty-one to twenty-five, and hits when their way as well thirty-one to twenty-three. We can thank Harry Carpet for making forty out of forty-one saves. I salute you Carpet! Luffy Richard was a plus-one, with two hits, a giveaway, a takeaway, and another minor penalty. I think my roommate has some rage issues this season. He cannot seem to stay out of the box. But at least today was a decent sim for him. He picked up a point, was a plus-two overall, and he seemed to be having fun out there on the ice. He has been a real mopey Richard these past couple of weeks. Training hard, but coming up short. I feel for the kid. I know he wants to help his team, but he is still in the growing pains stages of his career. He is catching up though, so that is wonderful news for a Toronto team that is just hitting their prime. If Luffy keeps his nose to the grindstone, I know he will be able to pull through and be a real steal for the North Stars. Looking back, in the years to come, Toronto management will be glad they drafted my roommate. Or not, who knows. I am no oracle. Until next time, Shine On! (740 words) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
