With @
JaytheGreat stepping down to co-gm the St Louis Scarecrows, it's time to bring a new member into the SMJHL Awards Committee! First though I want to thank Jay for the great seasons he's put in as a part of the awards team, he will be missed, and I know he'll do great in STL.
Now then, the duties of an SMJHL Awards Committee member include keeping up to date with stats in the J's, participating in discussions leading up to voting, submitting their ballots before a certain deadline, and providing some justifications on their ballots for certain awards. The pay is $2.5 million per season, and can also come with a bonus of $500k for those members who go above and beyond in those discussions and justifications.
Applications will be open until Friday, September 10, at 11:59 pm Eastern. Please DM me on Discord (Matteo#0494) with answers to the following questions:
Why would you like to join the SMJHL Awards Committee?
As an awards committee member you'll have to check any biases at the door. How would you go about making sure that you stay impartial when discussing or voting on awards?
