Figured this could be fun considering I just got the job, ask me anything!

I'm not entirely sure. I hope my reputation on the site, as well as my experience with several site jobs through the years, helped. I kept telling myself I'd never be an SHL GM but once dank and I spoke and he offered me the Co-GM spot, I sorta got hooked. There's so much excitement involved in it, planning, spreadsheeting, shit I really like to do (I play EVE Online so, spreadsheets MMO basically). I got lucky that taking over I have a great group of guys in Montreal to work with and call teammates and hope that the forward momentum we're working on continues.

1. I think keeping the youth movement going is important, and looking at what positions the team needs for the more immediate future of the franchise. Locker Room presence is also key, since as a young team, we're still somewhat learning our identity. I think the depth of talent in this draft is staggeringly good and I think that bringing any user, regardless of position, in this draft into Montreal is going to be a win-win for everyone involved.

2. I just put up a hiring post so we'll see how that goes. I'm interested to see who applies and/or expresses interest in the job. I think it's important to have a good back and forth with any applicant so I can learn a bit about them as a user/person, beyond what they can bring to the franchise. Just because someone is the most experienced may not mean our goals align for the team, so it's important everyone understands where things lie.

3. I think you'll probably see the Patriotes in the lotto again the next two seasons. I think it's important not to try to use assets to overreach for players that not fit the timeline we're looking to achieve. I think, much like how Toronto and Texas did, sticking to the game plan is more important than attempting to see the playoffs before you're ready. After that, I expect with the talent we'll be able to call up and have on roster, that we'llstart working our way up the standings slowly and, if all goes well, start making a name for ourselves as a contending franchise.

I would say that I think my biggest strength is my ability to be able to take advice from my war room. I think it's very important to listen to the opinions of others, and if I think and an idea is good and others do not, I should re-evaluate the situation. No one GM can do this alone, it takes a whole management team to make things happen, and I'm happy that I have that group to listen to.

In terms of my weakness, I would say my impatience can cause issues at times. I can be very focused on something I want and I'm addicted to fucking Discord so, it's hard for me to not want to press a matter more, in to annoyance levels to others actually. Just ask some of my guys how many times I post shit at weird hours just because I can. I like being able to set a goal and attempt to accomplish it quickly, but with a position like this, it's a marathon not a sprint.

1. Because they hired an ignorant American for the job. I know, that might cause a few riots in the streets but, I will make sure to calm the masses and inform them that the plan is still there and that we'll succeed as a group!

2. As long as you don't tattoo your face, I think we're fine. Facial hair just adds character!

Hopefully a lot of goals, cause you can't win games without scoring goals. Typically in sports, you need to outscore your opponents to win. There are a few games the opposite is true but hockey requires more goals scored than your opponent in a game to win.

1. I'm sure every GM has a different way to go about things. I've had a few nice talks with some GMs since taking over and made a very even trade with Calgary just two days ago. Luckily with the support I have in our war room, I'm confident that if someone tried to pull a fast one on us, I'll have enough knowledge and experience behind me to keep us safe.

2. Toronto who? Srsly though, I don't think there's enough history to our team to really feel like we have a main rival yet, maybe in a couple seasons, or if someone wants to start up a friendly rivalry (Calling NEW and WPG)

3. As it stands right now budget wise, I unfortunately don't believe I have cap to spare. If for some reason that changes I can let you know but with the number of prospects in the pool, we are a bit strapped.
