S56 - Vladmir Petrov : @Muford

Vladmir and his brother Slava transferred from Russia to Norway early in their careers, and are now the faces of the next wave of Norwegian hockey talent. He plays for the Atlanta Inferno, scoring 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points.

S60 - Gonzo Gobbledygook : @tweedledunn

Despite his youth, Gonzo has already created a huge buzz around himself as he projects to be an elite talent in the league. *** DEFENSE ***

Scholz has been a stalwart on the Norwegian blue line for a long time, and is still a force to be reckoned with. He is solid defensively but also has a knack for creating opportunities in the offensive zone. He plays for the Edmonton Blizzard, scoring 8 goals and 24 assists for 32 points.

S54 - Bork Lazer : @Frick_Nasty

A defensive beast who sparks terror in the hearts of opposing players, Lazer exists only to punish those who stray too close to the net. Claim to fame is being the first player chosen in the S60 expansion draft! He plays for the Philadelphia Forge, scoring 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points.

S55 - Teddy Murphy : @trashae

Mr. Murphy changed his name from Teddy Park and changed his nationality from American, and Team Norway is ecstatic about that. He is a dominant defensive player who can leave opposing players twitching in pain and shock if they venture too close to him. He plays for the Baltimore Platoon, scoring 9 goals and 29 assists for 38 points.

S56 - Tanjiro Kamado : @Andy

Kamado plays for Norway, despite having a Japanese-sounding name he is actually from Italy! He plays for the Baltimore Platoon, scoring 14 goals and 39 assists for 53 points.

S58 - Ole Olson : @Amidships

Representing the next wave of elite defenders for a nation which has had multiple Hall of Famers in that position, Olson is emerging as a strong two-way player with a well-balanced skillset. Despite his youth, he is already establishing himself as a permanent fixture for his national team blue line. He plays for the New Orleans Specters, scoring 7 goals and 22 assists for 29 points.

S58 - Bjørn Jakobsen : @siddhus

At 6'11" and 300 lbs, Jakobsen is an absolute monster on the ice. His imposing presence makes him an ideal net-front presence, but he also possesses surprising offensive instincts for such a big man. He plays for the New England Wolfpack, scoring 8 goals and 20 assists for 28 points.

*** GOALTENDERS ***

S46 - Peter Larson : @Tomasnz

The Danish-born goaltender has been a stalwart for Team Norway for many seasons, although he is playing more backup these days. He continues to perform well despite his advanced age. He plays for the Philadelphia Forge, putting up a record of 11-4-3 in 21 games played.

S52 - Cillian Kavanagh : @takethehorizon

Cavanagh has become one of the elite goaltenders in the SHL, and will be the starter for Team Norway this tournament. He has never had a losing record in the IIHF series as a starter, backstopping the team to its Bronze Medal victory 2 seasons ago. He plays for the Texas Renegades, posting a 38-10-5 record in 54 games played.

------------------------------------

Outlook: with a balanced roster up front with a solid mix of veterans, up and comers, and promising rookies, and a defensive corps which matches any other in the tournament, Norway is projected to be a competitive team which should make the medal round from their group. They are hungry for more medals after missing out last season, with a little luck and some solid goaltending from Cavanagh, it would not be surprising if they find themselves on the podium again!

Good luck to all, and to all have fun!
