Matty Ice a fresh young boy coming from the slums of Compton, California. One day playing in the streets he saw a little pond and went to go feed the ducks there and he played in that pond that whole summer, he later found out in the winter it was just cold enough this one day that the ice had froze up and he could go skate there. Now he did not have any skates but still acted like it, he also found a tree branch and pushed around a big rock. It was the best day ever. Fast forward to the present day and Matty Ice is pacing his steps in his living room to get the call he has dreamed about everyday since that day he played on the ice. "You ready to play up north kid" in the third round with the 30th pick Matty Ice was picked by Anchorage Armada. Later that night he got another call from his coach to pack warm clothes to make the trip up to Alaska. He had never been and was eager to join this team with a fresh new start after killing 5 people in Compton. Once he was welcomed to the practice rink he met a lot of friends and is now in preparation for his first major league season with the boats. His dream is to beat those 7 right wings picked ahead of him and use his skills from hockey and the streets in Compton to do so.
