It is 15.40 CEST, May 8th, just barely overcome the shock of being drafted 40th OA out of 44 players, when Alvin Towne gets a call from @Chevy the manager from Great Falls Grizzlies. “Hey Alvie, i hope i didn’t wake you up, but i want to check if the following contract is acceptable to you?”. “2m + 2m bonus”. Are you kidding me? Do you know how many nuts (uh training) you can buy with 4m? … Draft horror instantly forgotten, Alvin rushes to the locker room (which is a strange place to sign a contract i know) and inks the deal.

All kidding aside, i knew i wasn’t going to be drafted high, but getting drafted this low was a real shocker to me. There was a decent amount of interest leading up to the draft and i am not entirely sure what went wrong during the interview period, but let’s leave it with that … i am glad the Grizzlies took a chance on me and i will prove the other teams wrong. Go Grizzlies!
