Deep Dive #2 - First look at S70 from a point of a ''Kraken''
#1

Carolina ''Kraken'' has already played ten regular season games in S70 of SMJHL. The beginning of this season has been okay. Team sits at fifth place in an entire league, being ahead of nine other squads. 11 points in ten games, which means that team got 55% of all possible points. As I said earlier - each game day when we get at least half of the possible points is a win.

Team is perfect at home with 3-0. Biggest problems are games which we have to be guests. Only 2-4-1 there, so we have to work with our minds to get ready for all away games this seasons. However, ur team has scored 41 goal already which is the second best result in this league. 23 allowed goals are the second best result in the league as well, so I can clearly say that we are doing just fine right now.

Team has multiple blowout wins - 8:0 against Detroit ''Falcons'', 7:1 versus Anchorage ''Armada'' and one more 8:0 against Yukon ''Malamutes''. There are some unexpected and hard losses too, but in general team is doing good. Second place in the Atlantic conference and pushing not only to ''play-offs'', but possibly to the Finals as well.

If we are looking at statistics, we are having multiple league leaders in many aspects. Johnny Wagner-Svensson with nine goals is the best scorer in the league right now, while Derek Martin with 18 points has the most points in SMJHL this season. Elias Adelberg meanwhile are shocking the hockey world with already two shutouts this season. That is the most right now by any goalie around SMJHL.

However, center forward Aumy Junior II isn't doing very good. He gets an average ice time of almost 19 minutes per game, but he only has three points in ten games, which is the least by a Carolina player this season. He has one goal and two assists. Since team has only three official defenders, he has to play as a defender too, but that doesn't change the fact that he can't get any points even in blowout victories.

Weirdest thing this season meanwhile is that Quebec City ''Citadelles'' are the last position right now. Team has like four points in nine games which is absurd, knowing that they won a Four Star Cup last season. How is that even possible? Yeah, we can say that they lost many players who got called up to the big league, but this still is a small mistery to me.

Seems like this season will be very interesting. There ain't no big lead by any team yet, so all of the teams can surprise and get a chip this season. Maine ''Timber'' is the leader of the league right now, but it can all change in a one game day. Hopefully me and my boys from ''Kraken'' will be able to make a huge push and get a chip. That would be hella cool and I think we are pretty good squad which will even improve more. So the sky is the limit!
