Bear Trapp – Bear is a young and promising rookie that is the latest edition to the Maine Timber. They have already allotted 8 points in only 10 games played since joining the team. Trapp is a hard-working addition to the team who has been incredibly impressive in their limited opportunities so far, and this is only the beginning. Trapp is a hard worker who is always one of the first to the barn and last to leave the facilities and looks to continue helping the team going forward.
Mick Mayhem – Mayhem needs little introduction. He is a force to be reconned with and instills fear in all of his opponents. Primarily focuses on defending and keeping the puck out of his own net, Mick wants nothing more than to win games and intimidate the other teams and players in the league. Mayhem is a bit of an odd duck, and people either love or hate him, most teammates usually like him as he’s always willing to step up on or off the ice to defend his teammates when called upon. Silly Mctartersauce – Mctartersauce is an extremely creative defender that has already passed the 20 point mark. Silly has managed to excel in his creative ability and has impressed coaches and trainers since joining Maine. He is one of the best rookies to watch moving forward, and opponents will need to be aware of him on both ends of the ice. Silly is another in a long line of hard working and ambitious Maine prospects who has put the league on notice quickly, and looks to continue to establish themselves for the rest of their time in the SMJHL. Merle Van Nistelrooy – Known as The Pistol! Merle is leading our rookie defenders in points and tied for the point lead with the other rookie. He has looked great on both sides of the puck and his only real weakness is that he is not on the ice more. Look for The Pistol to leave his mark on the league this year and in the future as a force to be reckoned with. Shootin Blanks – Blanks is the most promising forward prospect in the Maine Timber system at the moment. Big things are coming for this prospect who already has 25 points in 31 games. Shootin Blanks is an absolute menace on the offensive end of the ice and teams have trouble containing them already despite only being in the first half of their rookie season. The sky is the limit for this prospect and they could set records when all is said and done. This S71 class is poised to continue the Maine Timber dominance for many seasons to come. Maine has a history of impressive rookies and this class is no different. Trapp, Mayhem, Mctartersauce, Nistelrooy, and Blanks are in position to be cornerstones for the organization and their early and continue contributions will be needed to return the hardware to Maine and allow the organization to thrive for seasons to come.
