A bit of justification here from the Patriots, with all of the top talent we wanted to get out there and grab as much of that talent as we could. We don't see this being as deep of a draft in recent years either so we, once again, felt we needed to go for top talent in the 1st.

From the Impacts side, from my years of experienced ive realised year after year that in the juniors its not abt how high ur pick is, but abt finding those actives in the later rounds.

I wont be getting a Parise, Nathan Seth Metcalf ect. but tbh, with the 7th or hopefully 8th pick i wouldnt get them either way. So now i get an extra 2nd rounder and only go down a couple spots. Im very happy with this trade.
