As I'm looking to build an offensive defenseman, I think it would be the most beneficial to just crank up the shooting power. Even if the accuracy wouldn't be as high, it would be beneficial to be able to make the blocks really hurt.
Wes's ability to accelerate off of a turnover and his playmaking ability makes him dangerous in transition. His canning ability to know where every teammate is on the ice, the developers will create a "Eyes in the Back of the Head" branch to the vision tree.
Well this should be quite easy to do. Being that my render is a "Cat with Lazer eyes" I'll request the developers add a stat or feature to portray that ability. Aside from that we know cats always land on their feet so gonna have to max out that Balance stat!
Since I am very much a PC only enjoyer, I have very little idea of how NHL games work. Therefore, I am just going to be happy with whatever I get suggested by the developers, with the singular exception of trying to convince them that I am actually 2 inches taller than I should be.

I think its pretty clear and well established that Activityt Check, a star rookie in this league, needs a BIG SAVE attribute. Not only has he shown up on a young Kelowna team, making these saves is commonplace!
I would make Sunrise van de Schubbekutteveen's mental abilities very strong. Considering his background as an academical and all, it'd probably fly under the radar anyhow.

RIP THUNDERDOME 2013-2023 would have some sort of trash talking ability. If RIP TD is on the ice for a stoppage of play, he can get into the opponent's heads, debuffing their puck handling, passing, and shooting.
Jeff at 5'7 is prime hitting and fighting bait, so I'd make the devs secretly give Jeff 99 strength, fighting skill, durability, and make it so other players bounce off of him and go flying if they try to hit him. Serves them right!

I would give my player Scott Seitz the capability to perfectly calculate the angles and trajectory of anything in hockey. Rebounds, passes, puck dumps, shots, everything. This would make him the best tipper in the league.
My player's video game likeness is going to have the 'Explosive Shoulders' X-Factor. Anytime he is checking an opponent with his shoulder, no matter how hard, the player is violently thrown in the direction of the hit.
I always consider myself to be a goal scorer coupled with a great hockey iq. If I was going to be in a video game, I would want the ability to help me have more vision on the ice by increasing the screen view and unlocking more stats on the other team to maximize my iq.
Artturi Lappalainen suddenly gains the ability to shut down every player ever to exist in the league, past present or future with his 100 overall defensive rating. What else do you need, anyway?
I'd say that my ideal X-Factor would be being a secret sniper. I didn't design my player with too many offensive capabilities in mind; I wanted him to obviously be useful in that aspect but it wasn't my priority. However... in this situation... I would love to see absolute rockets from the point from Orwell.
