Code: **DO NOT GRADE UNTIL 2X IIHF MEDIA WEEK** Another Offseason has come for Sir Devoir, and he has a plane to catch. It will soon be time for the IIHF tournament, and he is catching a plane to his homeland of Japan to prepare. He has always made this trip every Offseason when the tournament begins to startup ever since he was called up to Team Japan's roster, and he is hoping that the team can finally earn the gold that has alluded them for so long. After the Baltimore Platoon were once again eliminated by the Atlanta Inferno, a disappointed Devoir took some time to do some meditation and self reflection in his time off before the tournament started. He is lucky to always fly first class for his trips to Japan, and we will always meet up there with the Team Japan Head there along with the rest of the team. The first thing the team always does once they are settled in to their accommodations in the city of Tokyo is go out for a sushi dinner at a high class and well respected restaurant in order to catch up and discuss the upcoming game plans. Devoir always loves trying out various dishes he never had a chance to before, and he believes that a Japanese dish from his homeland is the best food he can eat. Eventually the team will begin the practice period, and get used to playing with each other again. The big thing with this team is too leave your SHL rivalries at the door, and just remember that right now for the tournament you will be working together and playing hard for each other. Devoir and BASE PACK especially have a strong bond during the tournament, with one being a Pokemon goalie and the other one being a sentient pack of cards who also happens to be a goalie. Usually after practices they will host media scrums with the Japanese media to discuss expectations for this year and how well they are meshing as a team. Devoir usually has members of his immediate family join him in Japan to personally watch the practices and media scrums, including his sister Anne and a few of his Pokemon friend from the woods of Baltimore. Eventually however, it will be time to fly over to where the tournament will be held this season, and this time it will be Ireland. Devoir is expecting some rowdy fans from there, and is ready to do his best to represent his country and hopefully bring home the gold. Good luck everyone, and let's enjoy this years IIHF tournament! It's always an exciting event, so I will see you on the international ice! ![]() ![]() |
