Hi All! I am proud to announce that the following players have been selected for the S74 Team ICE roster for the S74 World Junior Championship! There is a great mix of talent that was available to form this team and I believe that we can make it quite deep into the tournament, and make those teams that didn’t pick us regret that choice!
Forwards
RW Mac Griddle - @mcgriddlelover Playing for the Newfoundland Berserkers we have Mac Griddle, a hard hitting hard nosed power forward who is having a great sophomore season in the SMJHL. RW Average Dude - @jollyjiggs Playing for the St Louis Scarecrows, Average Dude is above average when it comes to taking away the goalie’s vision - basically lives in the crease! RW Ivan Scochnikov JR - @Chris A sniper who also sticks up for his teammates, Ivan Schochnikov Jr is not someone to be messed with on the ice! RW Inge Baardsen - @Urq660 A first year player for the Regina Elk, Baardsen isn’t afraid to throw the body, clocking up 130 hits in their first year in the SMJHL. RW Teemu Salami - @swoosh A ROTY candidate for the Detroit Falcons, Salami put up 44 points during their debut season in limited ice time including 24 goals. LW Nico Nurminen - @dylanjj37 A left winger defensive ace for the Regina Elk, Nurminen is someone who you’d want on your wing to face off against tough opposition. LW Julian Kuznatsov - @JustHereToLeave Playing for the Maine Timber, Kuznatsov is an all-around winger that can contribute offensively and defensively. Also surprisingly good in the dot! C Rodrigo Banes - @Benpachi A faceoff wizard for the Kelowna Knights, Banes can control the play in a zone with the puck on his stick. C Poiklm - @Poiklm A second year player for the Great Falls Grizzles, Poiklm has a motor that never quits and soft hands that can break ankles! C sabage cabage - @icydice Playing for the Newfoundland Berserkers, sabage cabage is a slippery player who can find open ice no matter how tightly covered. C Fédot Fedorov - @NoLimitxUzii Magic with the puck, Fedorov has great vision for passing and setting up plays. C Pinli Switchbang - @leviadan Don’t let their size fool you, Pinli Switchbang is stronger than they look - while being as evasive and hard to pin down as their small stature would suggest. Defense RD Bartholomew Chungus Gingersnap III - @TheDangaZone If you have the puck, Chungus is coming for you! Passer extraordinaire, Chungus can also set up teammates for great scoring opportunities. RD Kaarlo Koivunen - @Juho Koivunen takes away pucks from other players like someone taking candy from a baby. With a hockey stick. Probably not good for the baby. RD Olīvija Agate - @jacobcarson877 A speedy defensive player, Agate is great at preventing rush chances and turning the play back up ice. LD Sergey Ivanov - @Arctic Nevada’s top minute muncher, Ivanov is suited at all situations and even has a 100% faceoff win rate for this season. LD Stormlord Imotekh - @JoeSteel Not afraid to put their body on the line, Imotekh has 147 blocks for the Detroit Falcons this season, basically a second goalie on the ice. LD Mikkel Enevoldsen - @Rapidsponge21 A smart, cerebral defender, Ennevoldsen can figure out which way the game is flowing - and then counter that flow to his team’s benefit. Goalies G Five-Hole Sieve - @G2019 Don’t let his name fool you, his five hole is shut tight. As is the rest of the net. G Joulu Kuusi - @Derry7 A second year goaltender for the Vancouver Whalers, Kussi has a great glove and strong pads. We look forward to showing everyone else why it was a mistake to leave these players on the board! 605 words Join the Team ICE locker room here: Team ICE Locker Room
