As we start another exciting season, QCC also says farewell to alternate captain Ryland Murphy, who graduates the program as not only the franchise’s second highest scorer with 323 points, but the SMJHL all-time record holder for assists, with 232. @TonyW19 has been a quiet but passionate leader, a mentor to those around him, and someone I couldn’t be more grateful to for everything he’s done for the Citadelles in his time here. As he moves on to the next chapter in his career, he’s paved the way for another young star to take up his mantle and continue to lead the team the way he’s done for so long already.

A - Juan Tymer - @ThePyroAlpaca

On a team with so many dedicated players, there are rarely enough letters to go around, but it’s no understatement to say that this has been a long time coming. Juan has made himself known around the league with fiery media and high-scoring defensive play, but inside the QCC locker room he’s best known for his level headed support and willingness to step in anywhere he’s needed. From a complete overhaul of the scouting department to his insight on special teams coaching, his team-first mentality has not only prepared QCC for greatness the last few seasons, but will continue to leave a legacy for seasons to come.

"He's a fantastic vocal player in the locker room,” said captain Frøya Solberg. “He never had the A officially until now, but that didn't stop him from acting like a leader when we needed someone to step up. A lot of critics would say that someone who chirps other players to rile them up a bunch shouldn't be captain or alternate captain material, but I think a guy who motivates his team with words of wisdoms, jokes and great on-ice performances deserves the recognition more than anyone else. Juan is that man, a man deserving of a letter like no other."
