S77 CGY Week 1
#1

Alright so welcome to the first of many weekly reviews of Calgary Dragons today we are going over week 1 of s77

Game 1 against renegades with a 4-2 loss a decent game from calgary if there was only a few more chances for calgary could have gone either way also froya solberg got his first career point at this game

Game 2 against BUF 4-2 loss again this time calgary had a good game just couldn’t score also froya solbergs first career goal this game and sonja solbergs first assists along with first shared goal with the solbergs

Game 3 against rage 7-4 W A great game from calgary and also at this point i don’t remember every CGY rookie so im just pointing out solbergs and myself anyways lets continue walter melon scored the GWG goal here nothing more to point out

Game 4 against Specters 2-7 Loss not a great game for Calgary nothing much to point out on this game for calgarys side

Game 5 against Edmonton 5-3 W nothing makes a greater feeling then winning against your rival team in this scenario edmonton arthur kalyiyev scoring the gwg also in the third period nothing more to point out

Game 6 against seattle 9-2 L not a great geme here another blowout loss if calgary really wants to do anything this season they need to pick up the pace

Game 7 against montreal 8-3 W a great game overall for calgary along with jerry moonshine scoring the GWG goal and a hattrick

Game 8 against Edmonton n blizzard 6-2 W another great game for calgary now they are starting to be what we need to get into playoffs alsosven holmberg with the gwg goal

Game 9 against SFP 7-4 Loss not a great game but we were facing the defending cup champs (if i remember correctly) nothing to point out really also

Game 10 against patriots 3-2 W with along two first career goals firstly with sonja solberg and with that goal came also the first career point for kaarlo koivunen and the 2nd first career goal was for kaarlo koivunen tom pedersen then scored the gwg goal

Game 11 against texas  6-2 L not a great game for calgary and nothing really to point out here

Game 12 against  new england 3-2 W another good game with sonja solberg scoring the gwg along with the opening goal
So far doing good calgary

I would like to say i got an idea but no motivation to do it to previous games so i will start doing it now
Every game i select MVP of the game for calgary (don’t expect me to put a lot of tought into that)

Game 13 against Toronto 5-4 SO W a nice play by goaltending and offence despite being outshot by toronto north stars also it stayed really close thew entire time at any point it was only 1 goal away from being tied. Also no GWG today since Shootouts aren’t shown in the index. MVP of the game: Tom Pedersen: with 2 assists it was kinda of a tought one to choose a player here so i just went with him it could have easily been some other players also

Game 14 against chicago: 6-2 L shooting was really close and if we ignored the goals it could have been called a close game MVP of the game: sonka solberg: Despite having one of the highest times on ice for the team he is one of the players whos +/- stat was still 0

Game 15 against edmonton 6-2 W a nice rivalry win again now calgary is up 3-0 in the battle of alberta this season overall a nice game for calgary offence defence and goaltending all played really well. GWG was made by jerry moonshine and the MVP of th game is: tom pedersen with 1 goal and 2 assists having the most points on the team. Really a great game for him

Game 17 against minnesota 7-0 L like holy this was a bad time for our teams offence and defence even the goalie got pulled MVP of the game: Jerry moonshine with almost 20 minutes of ice time no goals were allowed during his time on the ice.

Well that marks the end of the week 1 games now i will look trough team stats over this week
Firstly the teams point scoring is led by sonja solberg with 19 points a nice one for a rookie if this continues he would be really important for calgary in the future along with his brother froya
The teams goalscoring is led by arthur kaliyev with 10 goals along rylan murphy has played really well even if most of the teams players +/- is nearly 0 or in the minus category ryland has +8 thats double compared to anyone else on the team. The player with most time on the ice is sven holmberg with 23 minutes and 2 seconds. and the forward with the most time on ice is tom pedersen with 21 minutes 53 seconds

Now calgary itself hasn’t been really in the best of lights their +/- is in the minus category and being 12th in the entire league at the moment (at least we aren’t edmonton with 0 wins) along with that calgary is 6th in the conference (i can’t include divisions standings due to SHL index being bugged)  its not looking good if calgary wants to achieve something this season.
Go Dragons!  Dragons

How much of the money you earn from this will be spent on cards i wonder. CHI and CGY have had sadly up and down starts this season but both have promising rosters.
