Hi everyone. I figured I would do this a few days before the draft to have a few more opportunities to show myself and my player to the world.

As an introduction, for those that do not know me, I have been in sim leagues for about 7 years now. My last player here was Wendolene Ramsbottom, who reached 3rd all time in shots blocked, as well as reaching the 2K club. I was briefly a GM for the Seattle Argonauts and am currently an HO intern here. I have also been a GM and have made several Hall of Fames in the PBE and ISFL, where I am probably slightly more known than here. My last player here actually fell to the 2nd round! I do not see that repeating, but who knows.

Regardless, feel free to ask me anything about my player, my person and anything else!

I modeled the player a little after Adam Prpich who won two MVPs so I figure it can't be a bad build. I've never won an award in my time in the SHL so that is the main goal I have for this player, in whatever form that award comes (but obviously MVP would be best).

Is there a fun story about your player name?

Well, in the Sloths locker room, if you remember, we have the Shrine to the Shinkansen bullet train. And we would always pray at it for success in the sim, hence where shrinetime came from as a rallying cry to go to the shrine. And one of our players is a simmer there and tried to write about the sim happening on Wednesday, but spelled it Wednesy and since then that has become a huge meme too. So I just paid hommage to those two things basically!

Does the spa still exist in the Sloth's locker room?

It does! No one ever talks in it basically, but you can come visit it any time!

I am a huge Pokemon fan. So, pick a Pokemon to represent the Nevada Battleborn, along with several SHL franchises.

I feel like the Battleborn are a kind of Machoke type, very hardy and ready for battle and flexing. The Atlanta Inferno are obviously Charizard. The Calgary Dragons could be a Dragonite.

Finally, what are your thoughts on Snorlax being allowed to be a goaltender?

I feel like at first glance it seems too good, cause you can just block the goal, but him being allowed would mean that the pokeflute was also allowed and at that point it becomes fair game and it might not even be that good!

Wow, what a great question and what an honor it has been to be with HO, even as an intern. I have really enjoyed it though I constantly feel like I am not doing enough. It's been a busy time and some days I can definitely say it is overwhelming to see the amount of messages that come in. I definitely feel like I appreciate HO more in any league I am in now, just based on that. I didn't really quite know what to expect but it's been a great process for me.

I also think that the more time passes, the more I.... begrudgingly.... have to admit that the SHL is being handled extremely well. The portal is obviously the crowning achievement of that and it makes being in this league so much easier than it used to be. The organization is fantastic. And even with not doing as much work as others, I can tell how much work is being put into every decision and every topic. It's been really great to see. Also just on a personal level, I feel like this league has handled controversies and difficult topics extremely swiftly and decisively, which other leagues seem to lack. We both know how certain people are treated as off-limits elsewhere but the inclusivity of this league seems unparalleled to me.

Not HO related, but being in the draft has given me a different perspective on this too. I also am in the ISFL draft at the same time and I have to say that my overall draft scouting experience in both leagues surprised me a little. I feel like the quality of the scouting in some instances could be better. I often feel like it's just the same 3 questions that are really unrelated to who I am or my history in these leagues. Obviously not every team falls into this, but it made me appreciate my own team's scouting in the PBE much more, because of how much more in depth we tend to go than this.

But I think part of that also goes back to maybe previous experiences I have had in this league and maybe I still hold onto that (like being told that GMs max earning wasn't necessary and in some cases even a detriment, one of the biggest arguments I have had in my time in this league). I am not sure if that culture has changed or if it is still that way.

As part of HO I would maybe say having a clearer task dedication could help, but that may be partially because as intern I didn't have any clear tasks.

Of all of the teams that are out there, what 5 places intrigue you as a potential landing spot? It could be logo related, location related, user related, anything. Would be awesome to see what piques the eye / interest for a recreating player
