Thunder Bay: An old metal desk, covered in dust, sits in the middle of a run down room. One of the legs have been replaced with a pool cue. The drawers on the desk are stuck shut: stubbornly welded by years of rust and neglect. On the desk sits an old dell inspiron 530 PC, a first generation flat screen monitor, and a single hockey puck. The set up is just like @yosh promised. @CloudRobot told me they had nicer desks and better offices, but this feels right!
This is home. As the Newest Co-GM for the Thunder Bay Walleye, I would like to open up to anyone and everyone who has any questions!! 01-28-2025, 07:33 PMkahri Wrote: what are you plans with the Walleye? For starters, my first week is going to be spent talking to all of our current players and making sure I understand what they want to accomplish in the JR league. @yosh and @CloudRobot have done a great job with the team, and my goal is to continue this! Some players just want to go right to the SHL, some want to get personal records, some want to win it all. I'm down with that, but I want to make sure the players who we are managing are getting what they want out of the team. After contacting the players directly, I plan on scouting with our amazing scouts to try and figure out which new players will be great fits for our current players, so we can fill the needs hopefully for team success and individual success. Lastly, to take a page out of @luke 's book, I am going to try and encourage our locker-room activity by promoting great media and giving the team a chance to do great media. Active locker-rooms are the most fun, and I am hopeful that we can get some more activity in Thunder Bay! Also, I guess I gotta figure out how lines work again.
