2x team spotlight: Minnesota has hit the over!!! Season recap
#1

Minnesota has hit the 6.5 over/under for wins this season but here's the background to this feat. Nobody was expecting Minnesota to do much of anything for this season and times were rough with longtime GM Eddie leaving in the off-season due to personal reasons and also they had one of the worst rosters in the league so everyone was expecting Minnesota to do worse than s81 to which they had like 9 wins. Minnesota started the season chaotic starting off the first (real-life) week Without a win to start the season and then they had a GM turnover which at first didn't go well with the fans and the players but after a few hours everything was all good with Minnesota and plus they also brung goalie Bernie Lodge from New Orleans in a blockbuster season deal and you'll see later in this article that this trade was the best trade they can make for this 6.5 over/under for wins. In the second week of the season was when things were starting to come together for the team with Bernie Lodge giving off a good boost to the team in goal and forwards Grindle Waters-Johnson and Ivan Scochnikov III leading the way in points and Defensemans Dieter Fruhstuck and Trevor Lopez leading the way on the defense to lead this team to 3 wins in this SHL week. This led to everyone thinking that Minnesota can crack over 10 wins for the season. They had one of the roughest first weeks in SHL history and then they turned it around to get 4 wins.

The third week is when everything started to click even though on Monday we struggled the first game was rough losing 7-3 to the Texas Renegades, then Another tough loss to Texas 4-3 but then we got our first victory of the week beating current leader in the division Winnipeg Jets. But then Texas beat us for the third time of the day beating us 7-5.

Then on Tuesday they also went 1-3 but they are averaging a win per day this week. The first game Manhattan beats Minnesota 7-2 on a 4 goal second period, Then they lose to New Orleans 5-2 after starting with a 2-0 lead after the first period, But they do get a win over a underwhelming Chicago team 4-3 after a strong 1st and 2nd to hang on for the victory, Then Minnesota got overwhelmed by a top dog of the league aka the Calgary Dragons 13-1 Due to 4 goals by the league leading scorer Froya Solberg and another 3 goals by her line mate Literally Wizard.

Minnesota struggled on Wednesday going 0-3, as they start off by losing to Winnipeg 7-3 getting their revenge from the previous meeting against Minnesota, then They lose to another top dog Seattle 6-2 to go to 0-2 on the day and finally Winnipeg beats Minnesota again to go 2-0 on the day against them beating them 4-3.

On Thursday Minnesota went .500 on a day for the first time this season going 2-2 this sim. They Start off the day with a 5-4 shootout win Over Philly who is a Middle of the pack team and going 1 win away from getting 7 wins, But then they lose to  Edmonton 3-2 so now they have to wait another game to get 7 wins to hit the over, and then It happened we beat the Winnipeg Aurora 6-5 in OT to get our 7th win on the season and hit the over on the over/under for wins and we must have gotten too excited about the win and forgot we had to play another game because we got curb stomped 8-2 by Chicago to end Thursday.

On Friday Minnesota goes over .500 for the day for the first time this season going 2-1: First starting off with a 3-2 win over a post-dynasty San Francisco Pride team and then Losing to Philadelphia 7-4 Off a strong Team game from the Forge and then we win again against Los Angeles in the Shootout to bring our win total to 9 for the season.

Minnesota has went through ups and downs this season and it is very glad to see that they are about to surpass their totals from last year as Minnesota is 1 win away from 10 wins and it would mean a lot to the fan base and the Minnesota rebuild If we can get to 10 wins this season.
