I would like to start off by saying that this is by no means a demotion to Derringer. I think he has been busy lately so he hasnt been able to be as active as he used to. So with that said Witz and I wanted to shake things up a bit. Also with Spezza gone we have room for another alternate.
So, serving as our Captain for season 7 will be Jackson Turska!
Staying on with a leadership position will be Kyle Derringer and he will wear the Alternate Captain's A.
Now we have some new guys stepping in to fill leadership roles. Serving as the 2nd alternate captain on home ice will be Zach Miller! Serving as our 2nd alternate captain on the road will be Christoph Klose!
We have a really strong leadership group in our locker room so we had a lot of choices including goaltender brandon sawyer but we are a traditional team and goaltenders arent allowed to wear letters on their sweaters. So congrats to Turska on being named captain and congrats to Klose and Miller to getting the chance to don the A!
