"TD Garden, The New home for Alexey Kovalenko"
Its been a crazy 12 hours. As TSN broke for you earlier in the day. It was confirmed from the Hockey Insiders that Alexey Kovalenko has been traded to the New England Wolfpack from the West Kendall Platoon for a 2nd Round Pick in season 14 and Peter Iannitelli. Some critics shocked and some critics werent, for the past couple of weeks leading up to this trade, Alexey Kovalenko had been having personal problems with the Platoon the previous night before he was traded. Problems that we cant confirm but something happened last night that finally made General Manager Jon Maxfield deal his former 1st overall pick which could be considered a "soft" deal. But to be honest this is better value than a rumor that circulated last night that would have sent Kovalenko to the Edmonton Blizzard for a 4th round draft pick and some cash than Kovalenko would later be bought out by the Blizzard making Kovalenko a free agent.

Alexey Kovalenko is a Big Power Forward from Russia who is the younger brother of former SHL All Star Sergey Kovalenko. Alexey is 6'3 220 Pounds and is a physical force on the ice each night and plays a smooth defensive game. An Former 1st Overall pick in the NWJHL and SHL gives this young New England team another piece to the puzzle.

Today around 4:15PM Est, Kovalenko finally landed to his new home in the city of Boston, Massachusetts. The media circuled around him to get questions and answers from the newest member of the Wolfpack.

Have you met General Manager Erik Chisling yet?
Yea I spoke to him shortly after the trade was confirmed. I gain alot of confidence back after speaking to him, you never want to get traded and I knew there was a chance of happening but Im extremely happy to be a member of the Wolfpack. Seems like a great organization Erik is a classy man and I wanna thank him for giving me this opportunity to join this franchise. With all these rumors leaking of my "Attitude" I honestly didnt think a single general manager would take a chance on me and New England wants too and I respect that and show much appreciation.

Could you clarify what went wrong in West Kendall?
You know personally, i dont think nothing went wrong until last night. Everything was going great for I but I did something wrong and I already made a apolgy to it and people understand and some people dont and I expect them to not forgive me, I was a idiot of what I said. But um personally Im gonna say there was a few members that wanted me gone last night I totally respect that, if someone like me was doing the stuff I did I would want myself gone as well. I just wanna thank GM Maxfield for everything he done for me and Im sorry things didnt workout that we wanted things to work out. There a good hockey club and they are gonna be serious championship contenders soon. I have aboulsty nothing but amazing things to say about the franchise, it was a childhood dream of mine to play with the Platoon and im very happy I gotten the chance.

You are gonna be out the majority of the season, explain
Yea I gotten surgery on my leg, that I had injured last season and its gonna be a long process, probably gonna miss the majority of the season but ill be back for the final 11 games, that is what the "doctor" told me. Im sure the fans of New England cant wait to see me but its gonna take awhile. Hopefully in S14 ill come stronger and better. Ill be doing nothing but training and becoming stronger as each day goes bye. Im here to make a statement and I wanna thank again the Wolfpack for giving this opportunity to make this statement come true.

What's your strengths in your game?
I like to be very physical out on the ice. I like to punish people and be as nasty as I can. I like to hit. its something I love doing and if you get on my bad side you are gonna see it. I believe in a team, so if I see you out there trying to head hunt or start stuff with my teammates you are gonna see it from me. But the main thing I wanna contribute here in New England is scoring goals, I have these soft hands and I can make magic happen, the league just hasnt seen it yet and wont for awhile yet. But I can promise you are gonna see the best Alexey Kovalenko you can possibility see.

What's your weaknesses in your game?
My main weakness is probably my vision and passing, I dont really see the ice that well. I like to create room for my teammates with my physical play but I like to shoot the puck more than passing. Im not that great of a playmaker so you probably wont see that much of that.

How are you liking Boston and your Teammates?
Im loving it, everyone has been humble to me and you know it seems like a great fit for me. The guys seem to be happy with me joining the team and I hope we can make the best of things happen here. Its an extremely young team and we will grow as one powerful force and hopefully these great fans here can see a Championship. I respect everything and the warm welcomes I have gotten. I honestly didnt think this second chance could happen but it is happening and im very honored and I cant say Thank You Enough!!!! Its truly a great thing here and I hope to be here for many years. Im really liking what I have seen so far. and once again Thank You New England for giving me this wonderful opportunity.
