ESPN to add SHL Hockey to the Lineup

CALGARY, AB
– With the SHL’s Heritage Classic around the corner, Winnipeg and Calgary will square off in another intriguing season seven matchup. And from the looks of it, it will be hosted by a network that hasn’t had pro hockey for a while. Due to some last-minute paperwork, ESPN will be hosting the Winter Classic, joining Fox Sports and The SHL Network (duh) as the cable networks with the rights to play live SHL hockey.

Due to Barry “The Most Interesting Analyst in the World” Melrose being ESPN’s only hockey specialist on staff, it is rumored that ESPN might put together a three-man booth of retired SHLers Turd Ferguson, Eoghan O’Donnell, and Mathias Chouinard. (O’Donnell has been rumored to be a part of this team because ESPN interns have been seen carting numerous sacks of potatoes and six-packs of Guinness into the stuio.) However, there is also speculation that it could be only a one-man booth with Ferguson, and O’Donnell will only make an appearance at halftime.

The Heritage Classic logo will also be unveiled before the starting lineups of the game. From the looks of it, this will be a very good game, as the teams have been rivals from the beginning.

(Didn't really do this for money, just felt like making an announcement.)

Past players:
(S3) C/D - Turd Ferguson (HOF)
(S7) LW - Anton Wagner
(S13) RW - Christian Bauer
(S18) D - Turd Ferguson, Jr.
(S30) D - William Goddard
