Game 43: :impact: Montreal Impact vs Regina Force :force: Just like their previous game, heading into this one looked to be somewhat even. They both have been having problems with consistency. 8:48 into the 1st Period, Vuro Vlaters scored his 4th of the season from Ruutu and Escobar. It didn't take long, but a few minutes after that Steven Esposito scored his 8th from Jigsaw McGraw and David Webb. Montreal owned the 1st Period with 12 shots to 4, despite the tied game. Around the 6 minute mark of the 2nd period, Shane O'Ferghall scored a goal with assists to Sage Tanner and Scott Escobar to take the 2-1 lead. That would be the only goal for that period with Montreal outshooting Regina 17-10. In the 3rd Period, both goalies would remain stellar and Montreal would hold that 2-1 lead for the win. Regina's Milo Ethier saved 33 of 35 shots. Just 21 seconds into the game, Bryce Collins would net his 5th of the season from teammates Stacker Pentecost and Cameron Urbowicz. Less than a minute after that, the Scarecrows' Cameron Urbowicz would give St Louis the early 2-0 lead from a pass by Aaron Brown. Early scare for the Whalers. Fernando Pergher would bring it to 2-1 with assists to Vancouver's Abell and Knight. Vancouver's Truck Stoker would go off for hooking though, and the Scarecrows would capitalize on a power play goal from Pavel Bursyuk. But, with 5 minutes to go, Mike Abell would bring the Whalers back within 1 goal at 3-2. 3:51 into the 2nd, Vancouver's Sterling Knight would tie the game with his 10th on assists to Cole Hogan and Chance Winston. 27 seconds into a power play from a penalty to Niklas Svensson, Vancouver Whalers would score to take the lead on a goal from Truck Stoker. But, unforunately AJ Willison would take a Vancouver penalty. STL would head to the power play and capitalize to tie the game thanks to Stacker Pentecost. Pavel Bursyuk and Schnitinfritz Jagr would gather an assist each. With under 2 minutes left in the 2nd though, Sterling Knight would give Vancouver the 5-4 lead. Despite a pretty similar 3rd period shots-wise, Vancouver would score 2 more in the last 5 minutes both being power play goals. St Louis couldn't stay disciplined and Ausy Willison and Chance Winston would bring the game to 7-4. Both teams would have 2 power plays in the 1st period, with neither of them being able to pull forward. It was the 2nd period in which things got underway. 8:18 into the 2nd period, David Benson would score for Kelowna with an assist to Viktor Svensson. Less than 2 minutes later, Detroit would tie it on a goal by Asbjørn Alexandersen being his 1st of the season. Andre Martushev and Alexandre Sauvé getting assists. At 16:46 Kelowna would re-take the lead with Mitch Macho's 1st by Dolph Ziggler. Late in the period, Bubba Nuck tied it for Detroit once again from a pass by Michael J Caboose and Barney Tuzis. Each team would have the chance to take the lead on power plays in the 3rd period but neither would be able to score with the Knights outshooting 8-4.
