As this season's IIHF tournament draws to a close, with the medal games being played tomorrow, team Czechoslovakia is still searching for a young goaltender to lead them to glory. For several seasons now, veteran starter Mike Verminski has had a... distant... look in his eyes, as if he wasn't in the game at all.

It's like he's not even there!</div>

With his play slipping further each year, and another distant, declining goalie to back him up, the Czechs are desperate. They have reached out to multiple young up-and-coming goaltenders now, but each has turned the team down. It is rumored that representatives of the team have been traveling throughout Europe, kidnapping young goalies with few family ties in hopes of developing a star.

Yes, yes. He can start in the Bronze Medal Game</div>

Though these stories are not confirmed, several sources are reporting them, perhaps in hopes of diminishing the team's credibility and pushing potential goaltenders further away. However, one thing is for certain: despite lacking a true starting goaltender, or even an up-and-comer with the potential to become one, the Czechs made it to the IIHF Semi-Finals in front of Verminski. Though they lost to Canada, the game was close at 2-1. With a dedicated, young goalie behind them, the hard-working Czechs could be bound for greatness.

So for all you young goaltenders out there: the Czechs have an empty crease, and would welcome any of you. If you want the opportunity to start in IIHF games, develop alongside a young, high-potential team, and potentially win a medal within the next few seasons, join team Czechoslovakia. If you don't want any of these things, you should probably still join team Czechoslovakia, because we really need you.
