Alexander Garkusha isn't a name you've likely heard, and if that is the case, you haven't missed a lot. The 18 year old journeyman left winger who played this year for the St. Louis Scarecrows has announced his retirement from the SHL system, and is expected to return home to Russia to play in the KHL. It is reported that his choice to leave was based on his abysmal performance (1 point in 48 games) and his apathy towards being away from Russia. Alexander's agent has told us that he would like to thank the St. Louis staff for this season and wishes them good luck for the playoffs.
