Only a few days are left until the SMJHL Entry Drafts starts. We will see many young talents joining their new teams. But how does such a draft works? What must be observed by GM's? What do they already have in their team, what do they need, which player they will lose to the big show? A lot of decisions and thinking's to do for them. It is a lot of work to go throw the players list.

So we take a close look at this year SMJHL Draft. At the moment there are 27 players in this draft class.

Last we will give you a little draft analysis for Vancouver. Vancouver will go into the draft with a recently promoted GM and new head GM Hoovuh will have no easy job. He will lose some active players to their SHL teams. Vancouver will have the 6th pick and with this they will try to get a replacement for goalkeeper Lukas Berger. With Casey Holmes, Triforce Link and Sivy McSieve are three recreates in the pot with a high activity potential.

In defense they do not have a problem right now. Last year first round pick Jackson Cartier will probably stay another year in Vancouver. Same situation for Greenholm, Pinehero, Orlov, Pirozhkov. Only MVP could maybe leave. If it is possible they will not lose a pick to a defender.

Vancouver will lose three forwards (Wächter, Mason, James), but good for them that top scorer Sanders will stay another season in Vancouver also Zyvleski and Kubrak. So they will have a good first line. Vancouver will try to get a winger in the second round, some of that guys could be Felix Herzog, Harry Hans, Alex Berkis & Hans Moleman. There are also some very good center in the draft, but the primary goal of vancouver will be on the wing.
