<div align="center">With the SMJHL Entry Draft having recently finished, it's that time of year again. The time of year when the junior teams open their doors to new faces and welcome the next crop of young superstars into their humble abodes. For some teams, this time of year is a chance to rebuild from scratch, and create their futures as teams. For others, it's the perfect opportunity to strengthen an already strong core and put forward an elite roster that can contend for the Four Star Cup.

Whatever the goal of each team is, the draft is an exciting time. For the players, they will finally know where they will be landing in the draft, and will be able to join their new locker room. For the general managers, it's joyous in the sense that they know they've done well. The event is even a thriller for some of the players already on the team, because they are joined by new line mates, friends, and teammates.

This draft is spotted with a large amount of storied players that look to impress, and a few diamonds in the rough. It's a large class, and we're going to pick it apart player by player.</div>

de Bruin has a strong build for a powerful play-making centerman. His Skating (82) is extremely high for a prospect, and will likely be a key part of his game. His Endurance (70) also plays into a big factor as he will likely hope to be gaining top line minutes on whatever SMJHL drafts him. His Puck Handling (75) enables him to play around with the puck a bit, but he best be careful in his own end with a low defense (65). Another key aspect of his game is his Passing (70) and if he keeps that up he'll be getting a ton of points in no time.
Analysis
de Bruin is one of the strongest prospects come into this draft, and every team with a top pick should take a careful look at drafting him. He's consistently been one of the most active users in this draft class since day one and even laced up the skates for the Raiders in the playoffs, so already has the SMJHL experience he needs to be an all-star junior player. Look for him to go in the mid-late first round.

Build Breakdown
Winter plays a very similar game to de Bruin in a lot of ways. He has an incredible Skating attribute (80) like his centerman counterpart, but has a major advantage in other parts of the game. His Passing (80) is a quintessential part of his skill set, and will likely provide him ample amounts of assists during the long SMJHL season. As well, his balance between Puck Handling, Defense and Face-Offs (all 70's) provides a more two way player build than the one de Bruin puts forward.
Analysis
Winter could easily contend for a 1st Round pick. As a re-create with a fairly large bank roll, he already is leaps and bounds ahead of the first-generation community, but it's likely this lead will falter a little more as the season goes by and heads into the SHL draft day. Winter will likely be the set-up man for some of the more offensive minded players in the SMJHL the next couple and seasons, and is primed for a great career.

Jeeples is our third play making centerman in the draft class, but is the least intriguing so far. His seemingly lack of dedication places him immediately lower on most draft lists, and his attributes don't help out that situation much. With a highest attribute of Passing (70), he doesn't offer much as far as offense goes, and his Defense (60) is on the low end too. He will be able to put up solid minutes with a good Endurance (60), and if he works harder at that will develop into a strong player.
Analysis
Jeeples could be strong prospect for any SMJHL team if he puts in the work to progress. As a re-create he gains that advantage, but his bank roll isn't big enough to directly impact him in that way. With a weak looking build, Jeeples is set to go in the mid second to early third round of the SMJHL Draft.

Kilgore had a very promising build for a goal scoring centerman, and likely would have been a top prospect had he stayed active. His Skating (70) is strong, similar to the rest of his class, but he also has a high Scoring (70) that is the main thing that sets him apart from the other centers. As well, his skill in Face-Offs (70) is a large part of his build, and could have made him see top line minutes.
Analysis
Kilgore was looking like a good target for a lot of GM's, but with his inactivity will likely fall to the later rounds of the draft, or pass right to the final picks.

The second sniping centerman of the draft class, Sarone is an intriguing player. He seems to have no real natural talent in any one attribute, but his Scoring (70) is a key factor of his style. As well, his Skating and Puck Handling (both 65) make him a good puck possession player that teams may be looking for the in the draft. Finally, he has a slightly progressed Endurance (60) that will allow him more minutes on the ice for his team.
Analysis
Sarone is part of large group of re-created players in this draft class, but comes in as the underdog out of the lot. His past dedication to the league plays a large part in his role as a lower quality prospect, and will likely make him drop in the standings. Expect to see his name called between the second and third round.

Talo rounds us out at three sniping centerman and three play making centerman. His build is the least powerful out of any of the other players, with no high attributes (over 70). His key parts are his Scoring (67), Skating (62), and Face-Offs (62) that make him a utility forward if we've ever seen one. A part of his game that needs a lot of work is his Defense, which clocks in at a low (47).
Analysis
With Talo being semi-active and a first generation player, he doesn't rank high as far as draft predictions goes. He hasn't even made his update page, and this will likely cause GM's to question his dedication. Look for him to fall into the third or fourth round of the draft.

Doplin has an impressive build as far as a playmaker goes. His Skating and Puck Handling (both 70) make him a possession monster, and his Strength, Endurance, and Passing (all 60) make up key parts of his game as well. In order for him to be an absolute offensive beast though, he needs to bring up his Scoring (40).
Analysis
Doplin is an inactive player that doesn't seem like he will be coming back. He has not made his update page, and that's not a good sign for any GM's. He will likely fall to the later picks in the draft.

Hans is an interesting player. His seemingly utility scoring build could be a successful approach, and it certainly is different. With a high Scoring (70) mark and points put into his Penalty Shot (60), Hans seems to be very offensive minded. His other attributes are fairly low though, with most numbers being in the 40's or 50's minus a couple of things like his Skating (60) and Disciple (66).
Analysis
Hans is an intriguing prospect and the perfect compliment for any and all teams with play making forwards. Hans is the stereotypical goal scorer who seeks to impress this season, and is comparable in skill to Kalid Dermot of last year's class. He will most likely stay active and go in the late first or early second round of the draft.

Berkis is the first non play making or sniping player in the draft class, and is an active user as well. His build is weak looking from the outside, but is actually fairly balanced. His Scoring (70) and Puck Handling (65) as well as his Passing (60) and Skating (60) make him an offensive powerhouse, and his strength in Endurance (60) means he can play the big minutes for any of the clubs. His Defense (55) could use some work, but other than that he seems to be a strong two way forward that leans more towards offense.
Analysis
Berkis loses some points in commitment due to his last player, but as a re-create he already knows the ropes of the league and can likely continue on as a strong player. Expect him to fall into the second round.

Moleman, Hans

Another play making forward, Moleman continues the tradition of unselfish play. With a great skill in Passing (71) and a quality of Endurance (65), Moleman seeks to be a team player that can upset his enemies with a solid pass rather than a sniped goal. As well, his Puck Handling (60) and Skating (60) allow him to help his team on the possession side of the game, but his Defense (55) could use some progression. Likely he will balance out before the SHL Draft, and become a great young forward for any team.
Analysis
As one of the most active users on the SHL, Moleman gains a huge boost going into the SMJHL Draft. With interest expressed to him by numerous teams, he will most likely be an incredible player all throughout his career. We think he'll go withing the Top 5 Picks.

Green, Cleo

Finally, his Skating (60) and Puck Handling (63) will make him into one of the most promising possession player of the lot.
Analysis
A first-generation player primed for greatness, Green has all the makings of a great SHL career. The hopes of the community is he stays active and continues on this path with a strong and balance build. It's very likely he pops into the end of the first or beginning of the second round.

Right Wingers

Dabkowski, Jack

As well, his Puck Handling (60) and Skating (60) make him a possession player, and will allow him more minutes on the power play and penalty kill. Like many other in his draft class though, he could use a lot of work on his Defense (50).
Analysis
Dabkowski has pole-vaulted into the tops of many draft rankings, and will likely stay a top contender in the league for years. Considered one of the best first-generations in the draft class, it's a good time to be Jack. He will most likely go in the Top 5 picks of the draft.

Herzog, Felix

Analysis
Herzog is a generational winger and will almost one hundred percent be a top draft pick in the upcoming draft. His build not only highlights tons of offense, but allows him to encompass the entire ice surface. He's a deadlock for the Top Two picks.

Analysis
Shirobokov is a top prospect, and will most likely stay this way right up too the draft. Look for him to go in the middle to late first round.

Analysis
Makarov has one of the best looking builds out of the lot so far, but because of inactivity will fall in draft rankings. Expect him to go near the end of the draft, and within the last few picks.

Analysis
Obrana has the potential to be a Top Five pick, but we see him falling to the end of the first round due to teams needs. Their is always the chance though, and maybe one day Obrana will reign over one of America's finest teams.

If Lenin is too increase his bank and become a more active member, he could easily be an early second round pick. We think he'll fall more into the third round as of right now.

There's one word used to describe Tupper's style of play. Defense. His main trouble will be offense, with a weak Scoring (40), Passing (50), and Puck Handling (50). Once again he will be able to put up good minutes due to his good Endurance (60).
Analysis
Tupper's main issue is to become more active, but if he can accomplish this he will be a top defender in the SMJHL in no time. All it takes is a season of activity and some upgrades into offense and Tupper will be a star. Watch for his name somewhere in the second round.

Grey, Randolph

Analysis
Grey will likely fall to the end of the draft due too his inactivity. This could change though, and if he comes back he may have a great SHL career ahead of him.

Analysis
With his inactivity, Fondente will fall to the last grasps of the draft. Maybe a lucky team will get a steal, but we don't expect it.
