Somehow we managed to end up on a same team after SMJHL draft back in S17 and since then pretty much all our greatest success has been playing together or at least beeing on a same team. 2 Challange cups, several presidents throphys in SHL and SMJHL multiple final appereances and so on. What annoys you to the most off the other?

I am mostly annoyed that Esa never does the dishes, he never wears undervear, even though we are together and living together for two years I don't want to look at your balls. What makes it worse is that he actually likes to walk naked around the house. He always has half eaten chicken parms around the house and he acts like they arent there. Plus Esas feet stinks.


What is the key to a healthy relationship that will last for years?
Communication for sure. We sometimes spend all night just talking and playing monopoly. I believe that monopoly is important in to relationships as well. I never actually said this to you Esa but can we have a dog? We could walk with him and do our morning run with him.

Do you spend time together during off-season as well ?
I'd say we spent about 80℅ of offseason together. I was in Latvia this offseason to visit my family and friends. I think next year will be first when Esa will come with me. I want to introduce him with my family.

Who hangs up first?
We do it in a same time. I actually like skype calls better when we are away from each other.

Who is the better cook?
Even though I like to think it is me, actually he is better at it. You might think that he is awesome at making chicken parms, but actually best thing he makes is pizza. I love how his strong arms make pizza dought. Just wow

If you would have to pick two other members of the Calgary team to go with you guys to a road trip from Paris to Berlin, who would you pick?

I can't decide between 3. Randy, Nuck and Peders.
When are you forsaking Esa and coming to LA?
I don't know if we will. We are happy here in Calgary.

What annoys you to the most off the other?

He never flushes the toilet, it really drives me nuts. 3 years of being roomates on the road and he's always leaving floaters. I think he has a problem. Maybe in Latvia there is a water shortage or something and they only flush the toilet like once a day. I keep telling him here in North America we have enough water, especially in hotels that he can flush the toilet every time he takes a dump. Still though he leaves giant floaters for me to walk in on. It's gross. He takes huge dumps and they're always clogging the toilet. One time I had to chop one up with a hockey stick to get it down the drain, I used his stick of course, but he was nowhwere to be found when it happened. So yeah, he's always leaving huge logs in the toilet. I hate it.

Communication. That's the key to any good relationship. We tell each other how we feel and hold each other when we're sad. In a way you could say we're soulmates.

Do you spend time together during off-season as well ?

We try and spend every waking moment together. We hate being apart. He completes me.

After we say I love you, we hang up at the same time. It took a while to get this down, but that's how we do it. Sometimes I think he waits for me to hang up but I can't confirm it.

Who is the better cook?

Definitely me. He makes some weird Latvian shit that I don't even know what it is, pig intenstines or some kind of insect larvae. They've got weird stuff over in Latvia so I make all the food.

Easy, Nicholas Pedersen and Bubba Nuck. Both former Detroit Falcons from way back in the day and great guys. They respect our relationship and don't try and put a label on it. Plus both offer great security when we get hammered at night clubs.

Is it true that Mazais waxed a smiley face into Esa's back so he could have something to look at while he's back there?

This is not true. It was a frowny face. :(

Does Esa dance naked around a fire with flowers in his hair at Jani time?

What is Jani time? I'm not googling it, I already made that mistake when caillean made me google thunder from down under. I've learned my lesson. Although to address Esa dancing naked around a fire with flowers in his hair, no, he puts the flowers in his ass crack.

If the question above is true, do neighboring villagers believe Esa is a troll and chase him with pitchforks and torches when he does this?

This happens anyway, Esa is very troll-like. Same general dimensions and looks, kind of like Bonk, but Esa is much better looking actually and taller. So Bonk is the real troll, but yes villagers do hunt Esa with pitch forks and torches. They never catch him though because he surprisingly speedy and elusive.
