One of the great opportunities of being an SHL player is the ability to give back, well today.. Mike Izzy gave back as he visited the children's throat ward over at Whitby Memorial Hospital where 3 kids under the age of 13 recovered from the removal of there tonsils.

'I told these kids that the throat....it ain't no joke'  say's Izzy who brought each child a half price coupon for a banana split sundae from DQ, as well as a tube of icy-Hot muscle ointment signed by `The Augment` himself ...straight from his newest sponsor.... The Dollar Store Plus in North Oshawa!



Although semi sedated after surgery.. we did get a thumbs up from Fourth grader Billy Parker who wrote down on a piece of paper that he was happy to see Izzy who is one of he favourite new players on the Kelowna Knights.. he also asked if he can stay off from school for the rest of the month and that his friend Robert is an asshole, (no explanation why...)

Izzys been a busy man this week visiting both the throat ward and the Whitby Mall where he met the Muppets and over 85 excited kids! Izzy and his Knights also completed there 23rd game of the season where Mike scored his 3rd goal.

'There of been positives and negative's about my play through the first 20+ Games. I'm pleased with my peripherals, the shots are there.. the hits and blocks are there as well... but I'm not doing enough to capitilitize when the opportunity presents itself.  What I'm learning is that where I add my TPE plays a bigger role then I envisioned. I believe that I now have a better understanding of where I must focus my attribute additions to better compliment my skill set.. to better help the Knights win games' -- Mike Izzy
