First off… I want to say congrats to the entire Toronto organization. What a series… what a playoffs… and what a season. <a href='index.php?showuser=1833' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-13'>Cynthia</a> and <a href='index.php?showuser=1663' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-13'>Winter is Coming</a> you guys did it and while I wish it hadn’t been against us, you still ended that dreaded streak and it is well deserved by everyone who touched that ice. We will be back next season and more ready than ever.

To all of my Portland players/teammates. My hat is off to all of you. To be up 3-1 in the SHL Finals and lose is absolutely devastating… Especially for those who will be moving on, but for everyone who has dedicated their time to updating, training, improving and making Portland the team we are. I wanted to send out a PM to everyone, but to be honest making this public statement is well deserved to every single one of you.

Just five seasons ago Portland was literally nothing, but a couple highly touted prospects… a ghost town of a locker room… and a habitual rebuilding team. Fast forward to the end of this season, back to back playoff appearances, back to back finals appearances, an amazingly closely knit group of guys and a team that not is only a current contender, but a team that will contend for seasons to come. I didn’t make Portland what it is today… every single one who is a part of the Admirals has.

We will pick our head up… I will approach the off-season as I have time and again… and we will be ready for the puck to drop in S36. Today we will feel the pain of heart break for the second season in a row, but tomorrow the path begins once again for our young team. We are the Portland Admirals… and we will be back.
