Smirnov Light Jr. A Journey in Free Agency:
Bust! Well, this player's career has gone about as well as all my players apart from my original player. Hoping that I would avoid the same fate, I created Smirnov Light Jr. and wanted to create a long successful career. Three seasons later I have stalled with this player, but recently as an unrestricted free agent who was released from his team I have found hope again. Maybe I will not become a scoring forward like the original Smirnov Light, but I can still be a valuable asset to a Simulation Hockey League Franchise. What could I do for your team you might ask? Well, I can always disappoint, which seems to be my fashion lately in this league, or I can pick up the pace again in hopes of creating a dominant bottom 6 player for a playoff contender. Currently at approximately 335-355 Total Points Earned, I am not quite ready for the SHL, but I do not believe that I can return to the SMJHL. I will put a team in a predicament, but I could become an asset where the gamble finally paid off. It is not very often where you can pick up a player for bottom dollar and have hopes of them potentially hitting 600 or maybe even 700 Total Points Earned without having to use a draft pick, or move a player to absorb them. This is my pitch to all the current SHL General Managers to hear me out and take a chance on Smirnov Light Jr. Despite not knowing if he will even get an offer, Smirnov has a few favorite potential destinations where he would love to end up. One of those destinations is Manhattan, where he can team up with one of his favorite members on the SHL - Chris McZerhl. Chris has always pushed anyone in the Light lineage, and has always been a great friend of the family. Smirnov Light Jr. believes that heading to Manhattan could be the best move for his career as he will have someone to look over him and motivate him every week to train to his potential. Another favorite potential destination is the New England Wolfpack, a team which the Light family has admired since Ace took over as General Manager decades ago. Lastly, some organizations which he is lukewarm to but does not have a massive affinity towards at the moment are the Winnipeg Jets, Los Angeles Panthers, Edmonton Blizzard, Calgary Dragons, and Portland Admirals. Despite some teams not making the list, Smirnov is fine with any SHL home, as he no longer wants to be without a team. Smirnov does not want a huge paycheck coming from free agency, what he needs however is a family. He needs an organization that will instill belief into him like he had once before when he was in the SMJHL. He wants motivators and teammates who can elevate his game and help him reach the untapped potential which was written about years ago across the SMJHL media platforms. This is the last cry for help from Light Jr. as he enters free agency, and this will make or break his career.
Code: 527 words
