This was tough for me, both Edmonton and Minnesota reached out this weekend, unfortunately Manhattan didn't reach out until after I made my decision. With FA being before the draft, I will chalk it up to an issue there because they did reach out to me this morning.
So it was between Edmonton and Minnesota. My 2nd home vs my 1st home. Where I got most of my points vs the team that drafted me.
I literally wrote pros and cons for each team on a piece of paper and it was neck and neck right until the end and even after making my choice I am still thinking what if I changed it haha.
Without further ado, I will be going my to the Minnesota Chiefs.
It has been a long time since I played there and when I left to Edmonton it was bittersweet because while my guy saw much more success in Edmonton, leaving was tough. I was a Co-GM in Minny, Captain, and really the pick that helped start the turnaround there. Me and JT pick Garbo then next season and the foundation was built.
I don't know Baleor or Andybj very well and I think we will need to talk a bit before the season, but Having Garbo, Wally, and Seg all in Minny is going to be nice.
Leaving Manhattan is tougher than I thought it would be and Edmonton was very very very tempting, but in the end, ending my career where it began was the best course of action for me. So, let's do that hockey!
