St. Louis Scarecrows Official Media Release

The St. Louis Scarecrows organization would like to take this opportunity to welcome all the new draftees into the SMJHL. We think this is a great draft class and can't wait to see how you'll shape the league. It's great to see all the fresh new faces – we wish you all the best in the upcoming season. With the commotion of the draft finally calming down, we'd like to announce our captains for the upcoming season:

We're pleased to announce our captain, Daniel Karlsson. After winning the coveted Vladmir Bodnar award for best rookie season, Daniel continued to step up in the dressing room, being one of the most active members. He has quickly become an integral part of this organization and continues to lead the way with 50 points in 100 games played. We hope he brings his unique style to our leadership group and trust him fully to mentor the rookies.

In addition, we'd like to announce our two assistant captains – Nicholas Falk and Rowdy Smithers. Falk started with the Scarecrows last year and potted an impressive 10 points in 50 games. With tons of leadership potential, and great locker room presence, Falk will be able to keep our young guns motivated. Smithers, playing in his second season with St. Louis, is able to stay composed and plays a shutdown role for the team back in our end. We have great confidence in his ability to keep everyone focused, as they adjust to the high intensity of the SMJHL.

Congratulations to Daniel (@dankoa) , Nicholas (@NJBadApple), and Rowdy (@PDXBaller), we can't wait to see how you'll shape the next generation of Crows. All the best in the upcoming season. To all our Rookies - you are in great hands. We have no doubt that you will be able to reach your goals with the help of these three individuals.
