TSN: Hey Leshaun, thanks for talking to us after your back to back with Montreal.

Leshaun: No problem, lets get into this.

TSN: You had a tough loss to Montreal, shots were even but lost 5-2, biggest loss of the season. What went wrong Leshaun?

Leshaun: I mean, we collapsed in the third, thats a lack of mental toughness, and thats on us. We need to be better when it counts, we can't play hockey for 40 minutes and expect to win games. We're not that good of a team yet, we're definitely not good enough to do that now. We need 60 minute efforts if we expect to get anything out of these games.

TSN: Again penalties have been an issue for you guys, how will you fix this?

Leshaun: Just need to get smarter, can't take lazy penalties, those are burning us. We're lucky we have a strong PK but sometimes will make us pay. Montreal has the second best power play in the legaue, they're deadly. We can't afford to give them so many chances.

TSN: Thoughts on your own performance? And who was the mvp for you for this game for your team?

Leshaun: I mean, I'm happy to have gone 12 for 19 in the dot, better than I've been so far, had a lot of short handed ice time which is good, getting comfortable killing penalties. But personally i need to generate more, 1 shot in the game is not acceptable. Game MPV is Quinn Cullen, scored a goal, had a nice assist, three shots, great performance by him.

TSN: Okay, now for your second game, you obviously wanted revenge and you got it. What changed?

Leshaun: We just slowed the game down, right no we don't have that skill to play shinny hockey versus teams, we need to play structured low tempo hockey, and limit chances. We did that. But again, we can't spend the whole game killing penalties. We need to reel that in and become smarter with our sticks and with the puck.

TSN:Your first game going pointless, what went wrong?

Leshaun:Obviously not happy with this game either personally, my worst game yet for sure. I need to play better I know that. But we got the two points so I'll take that every night of the week. Yeah 2 shots, 2 hits, wasn't a good game for me. Over 6 minutes killing penalties though so I'm happy I was able to contribute in that way. But I got destroyed in the faceoff circle, 8 for 24 is a joke, I can't do that and expect to give my line a chance to play well with the puck. So rough game.

TSN: And who do you have as your player of the game for Halifax?

Leshaun: Going to have to go with Kyle Corbett, contributed on both ends, a nice assist and three shots, but also blocking shots and playing both PP and PK, loved his game tonight.

TSN: Thanks Leshaun, looking ahead what do you see for your club.

Leshaun: I think we're on the verge of really taking off, give us a couple more weeks and we'll be flying. We're growing into our rolers and we're excited about the team we are and the team we're going to become. We have a long way to go, but I think we're going to be dangerous.

TSN: Any early predictions on the season? Do you think there's any chance you can sneak into the playoffs?

Leshaun: Any chance? Yeah. 100%. I have us as a lock to make it. I can't imagine a world where we don't make the playoffs this year, we're not a bottom two team, and you'll see soon.

TSN: Wow, okay Leshaun, thank you, good luck against St. Louis and the up coming first game ever in Halifax history against the Armada. Hopefully your line can turn it around a little bit over these next few days.

Leshaun: No problem, yeah we have a lot of work to do to get this ship straight and going full steam ahead like we want to. Thank you.
