Hello y'all, Captain Fish here for some more Scarecrow analysis. In today's post, I will be looking at each of the new 7 Scarecrows that have been added to the farmers fields of St. Louis, providing some insight into the player, their role with St. Louis, and some other fun information. For my analysis on our non-rookie players, check out my latest post that went into detail on each of their S50 seasons. For our rookies, we are pumped to have ya and cant wait to see you guys grow and develop into full-fledged scarecrows. Here's how our roster looks this season: Roster
Centre
Jakub Bruchevski - 4th Year Send Down - 425 TPE Yamamoto Mitsuharu - 3rd Year Send Down - 350ish TPE Eddie Marston ® Trey Nets ® Left Wing Aron Hernadivic - 3rd Year Send Down - 425 TPE Ruslan Zaporozhets - 2nd Year Send Down - 350 TPE Borys Franciszek ® TBD Right Wing James Ronlain - 3rd Year Send Down - 425 TPE Sasha Dangelchek - 3rd Year Send Down - 350ish TPE Mega Tron ® TBD Defenceman Flash Gordon - 3rd Year Send Down - 350ish TPE Luc-Pierre Lespineau - 2nd Year Send Down - 350ish TPE Marian Elsner (IA) - 2nd Year IA - 215ish TPE Blake Faux ® Jebany Franciszek ® Ryszard Franciszek ® Goalie Elizabeth Doyle - 2nd Year Send Down - 350 TPE Marques Brownlee - 4th Year - 250ish TPE All in all, the list of St. Louis' draftees this season is as follows: 1. Blake Faux - Defenceman 2. Eddie Marston - C 3. Mega Tron - RW 4. Trey Nets - C 5. Ryszard Franciszek - D 6. Borys Franciszek - LW 7. Jebany Franciszek - D In all, we have 7 rookies on the team this year, all appearing to be pretty active so far. Every position besides goalie is represented, and these rookies will have a tough training camp battling against each other for positions in the lineup. 1. Blake Faux @AlexF Blake got his burn with St. Louis at the end of the regular season, and even got to see some icetime as St. Louis made their playoff run, taking eventual finalist Colorado to 6 games. Blake must've impressed the St. Louis management team, as only a short time later, St. Louis rushed to the podium to announce their 4th overall selection. Blake appears to have no birth history, as his birth location is unknown to himself and to all of us. Are we sure Blake was even elgible for the draft? This defensive defenceman should be STL's lockdown defender of the future, and should get heavy burn in his rookie season. Blake is 6 foot 2, 225, showing he's got reach and strength to throw the other team around. With a weakness in scoring, he wont be much help offensively, but his strengths in defence, checking, and endurance means he'll be able to play solid, heavy shutdown minutes. 2. Eddie Marston @Capt_Blitzkrieg Eddie Marston comes to St. Louis as a United States Citizen, playing for the United States National Development Team Program's under 18 squad. Marston began his USNDTP career as a lanky, 6 foot 2 center, all skin and bones and no muscle. However, as he matured, Marston began filling out, and comes into the SMJHL as a full-bodied 6'2", 205 pound playmaker. Danny was the Scarecrows second round pick, being selected 13th overall. This fella is strong in passing, skating, and puck handling, with a weakness in checking, and with his size, should be able to develop into a strong faceoff specialist. Marston will spend this year in the bottom 6, easing his way into the Scarecrows top 6 with the expected departure of Jakub Bruchevski at the end of this season. His activity so far in the locker room and his quick earning of TPE has Marston on the path of a very bright future. 3. Mega Tron @Jakub The Austrian born Mega Tron continues St. Louis' diverse selection of players in this draft, as they have now drafted a European, an American, and an unknown. This is also the third different position they have selected in this draft, as Mega Tron projects to be a force at RW. If Mr. Tron can harness his all-universe powers as a Decepticon into a sniping winger, the league is, to put it kindly, fucked. Mr. Tron, if his love of the game of hockey continues to win out over being an all-powerful entity set on destroying all of mankind, will be a third round steal, and his positiveness so far has only been an asset for STL. Mega Tron has shrunk himself down, and is now only 6'4", and 215 pounds. He is strong at scoring (aka shooting, surprise to nobody), skating (speed, mega tron is fast, shocking), and puck handling. However, he is weak at checking, which is something you would think a transformer would be good at. Mega Tron should slot in on the third line right wing position, and provide a mean offensive punch to St. Louis' bottom 6. 4. Trey Nets @KillaScrilla Trey Nets is another early round selection for St. Louis, being selected in the third round, 26th overall. Mr. Nets is a classic centreman, and like Eddie Marston, is also from the US of A. This centre is 6 foot 1, 215 pounds, so he might not have the reach of Marston, but with a heavier core and lower centre of gravity, will be tough to move off the puck. It seems as though STL is prioritizing decently sized American centres so far in this draft. Nets is a player that will aim to burn holes in nets, as he is a sniping centreman, with strengths in scoring, puck handling, and skating, while also being a poor checker. Killa Scrilla aims to join the deep list of STL steals. Nets provides the Crows with a centreman with a different skillset compared to his fellow rookie, and should be a strong player for the Crows should he continue to develop. 5. Ryszard Franciszek @ItssYoBoiDaLegend Ryszard Franciszek is the first of three Franciszek brothers drafted by St. Louis, and the fifth player taken by the Scarecrows in this draft. Francizek may have slipped due to the ultimatum presented on the league, which is the request for all the Franciszek brothers to be taken together. As the first of the Francizek brothers taken, Ryszard will have bragging rights over the rest of the Franciszek gang. The big Ryszard is 6 foot 6, 240 pounds, aka is a mountain of teenager. This Polish prodigy is a two-way defenceman, so should be able to provide some complimentary scoring to the Scarecrows main threats. With strengths in scoring, defense and puckhandling, this unit is somehow a weak checker? A flaw in his game at his size surely. Ryszard with the aid of his brothers should grow into a productive piece for St. Louis. 6. Borys Franciszek @eddiesnothere The next Franciszek brother taken is one Borys Franciszek, one of the elder brothers of the group. How do i know this? I dont, theyre all a mess. Borys comes into the league also as a unit, as he is also 6 foot 6, and is 228 pounds. This power forward, with strengths in checking, strength, and scoring, isnt afraid of laying into his brothers, and must've had some fierce battles with Ryszard growing up.With Ryszard being selected before him, it is likely that Borys continues to go head to head with Ryszard, which is something that should push both brothers to be better. But like seriously, wtf is going on in Poland? How are these guys such units? 7. Jebany Franciszek @Fizzy Brothers Borys and Ryszard were selected prior to Jebany, and ultimately pleaded their case to St. Louis' management to take the young, small Pole. With statements as "he's just a small boy, my Jebany", the two brothers ultimately felt bad watching the runt of the litter slip to the 53rd pick, and were concerned that their smallest brother would end up somewhere where the two big dogs couldn't protect him. however, I say small, and it must be noted that I mean small compared to his fellow brothers. Jebany is a small 6'2", and weighs "only" 210 pounds. Having taken a pounding growing up, this defensive defenceman isn't afraid to put his body on the line, and is able to compete with those much bigger than him. Strengths in defence, strength, and passing allow Jebany to do almost everything on the ice, and if his brothers can keep him on the right track, should be a late round steal. This marks the end of my analysis, we are excited to have u all and cant wait to watch y'all grow and develop into full fledged scarecrows!
