S63 Colorado Raptors Captains

As the offseason came, Colorado lost a lot of good players, leaders, and friends on the team. We lost all but 1 of last year's Captains. It is always tough to lose such greatness but we wish them all the best! So as we look to S63, the Raptors are focused on building a strong team. And that all starts with a strong leadership group. These individuals are viewed by their teammates very highly as the team votes have determined our Captains. And here they are

The Alternate Captains

Jamal Nightingale (@academydropout)

Nightingale has been a defensive stud for 3 seasons now with us. He is a big key to our success on the ice. The players look up to him and his playing style clearly. Academy is always a welcomed voice in the LR and a great teammate. We look forward to another great season from Nightingale.

Binko Koivu (@goldenglutes)

It is not common for a newcomer in Colorado to be voted as a Captain. But that shows how respected GG is. The 2nd overall pick, Binko Koivu, is set to follow Nightingale on defense and ready to become a key player for us seasons to come.

The Captain(s)

We had a tie in votes for Captain. So we are going with Co-Captains for S63. Both of these guys are amazing and both deserve it. We are proud to be able to name both of these guys Captains.

Shoyo Hinata (@Gordon Bombay)

What else can I say about Gordon? (Check the S62 Ono Winner) He does it all. He is an absolute pleasure to have in the LR. He is a great teammate, and leader. As for Shoyo Hinata, we expect big things from him this season offensively. His elite scoring ability will be on full display.

Max Manning (@jay2233)

Jay finally got the “C”! He definitely has earned it. Jay has been a big part of our team since being drafted. He already has been an Alternate Captain for 2 seasons. Jay continues to strive for greatness. Jay is highly active and engaging with everyone in LR and his teammates have voted him to lead this team. We will rely heavily on Max Manning this season. He is an extremely important player to this team. We know he will crush it.

Congrats to the S63 Colorado Raptors Captains. We look forward to a great season with this group leading the way. LET’S GO DINO GANG!!
