Hello everybody and welcome back to Hockeyyyyyyyyyyy: Right Now! As always, I am your host, Pauline Mieleg. Tonight we have a very special episode straight out of Anchorage Alaska. After a rather disappointing end to their season, players, GMs, and some special guests decided to get together for some good clean fun! And what can be more fun than slaughtering your friends in violent arena combat? That’s right! The Anchorage Armada have put together their very own Hunger Games! The eventual winner would win $1,000,000 to put towards their favourite charity! Why don’t we tune in and see how it all goes down?
The competitors are as follows;
I don’t know about you guys, but my money is on TURG TURG! That loveable caveman is hiding a deep rage, I just know it. The twenty four Tributes are getting into place on their platforms.
And immediately, without remorse, Matthew Sawful brutally murders Michael Withecheck! Sawful didn’t even try to go for the cornucopia! He just made a beeline for Withecheck and we have our first kill of the game!
Most of the other tributes grabbed gear without incident.
Except for him. Lemo Pihl released some rage on former Armada General Manager Ascolap and strangled him to death. Just like that 1/12th of the competition is down.
As for the rest of the competitors Bork Lazer, Alexei Petrikov, Igor Victory, Theo Kondos, Tomen, Bloos, Thorbjorn Gunnarson, and TURG TURG all left without grabbing any equipment at all. Interesting strategy. Let’s see if it pays off.
The only other fight during what most Hunger Games enthusiasts refer to as “The Bloodbath” occurred between Tokkulu Lakkamaa and goaltender Chimkin Tendy. It ended without consequence as Lakkamaa retreated. Just goes to show. Never get between Chimkin Tendy and his bag.
DAY ONE
The first day starts off pretty calmly. Almost too calm. The first fight breaks out between Slava Petrov and Taylor Gervais. Petrov gets the upper hand on Gervais but ultimately spares his life. Gervais lives on.
In what has so far been a relatively uneventful first day, another death has occurred. But not as a result of a fight.
Bjorn Thornsen has a case of jelly legs and falls into a pit. I don’t think anyone even realized he died. Oh well. Another one for the highlight reel.
Fan favourite, Lemo Pihl is the first to showcase any kind of strategic planning as he channels his inner Obi Wan Kenobi.
Don’t jump, Anakin. He’s got the higher ground.
With that, the first day ends. Let’s take a look at who was died, and who remains.
That’s three dead. With kills belonging to Matthew Sawful, and Lemo Pihl.
Now we will say a heartfelt goodbye to the deceased.
Goodbye Michael Withecheck
Goodbye Assclap
Goodbye Bjorn Thornsen
Rest well sweet princes.
That concludes the first day of the Anchorage Armada Hunger Games! Tune in later for the first night in the arena, as well as day 2. Alliances will be made. Friendships will be broken. Hands will be held. And people will be mercilessly slaughtered for your entertainment! As always I’m your host, Pauline Mieleg! And you’re watching Hockeyyyyyyy; Right Now!
