Deep Dive numero 2 is going to be an in depthish look at the Colorado Kraken Rookies and see how they line up against the rest of the league.
At first look from the TPE numbers, you would think the Kraken have absolutely killed this draft picking up THE 2 top earning players in Ole Olson and Finn von Murphenstein. However their draft was very top heavy, only picking up 3 earning players which could come back to bite them in the future.
Let's take a look at these players.

1: Ole Olson, LD, 259TPE
Top of the class in TPE joined only by his cohort I'm about to come onto. Olson was the Krakens first pick in the draft and has been earning TPE hand over fist. Olson has wracked up 10 points from the LD spot consisting of 2 goals and 8 assists. Olson is still showing signs of rookie issues with the +/- showing at -8 so far on the season. When he caps Olson should prove to be a force to be reckoned with on defense and partners up very well with the next pick.

2. Fin von Murphenstein, RD, 259TPE
Von Murphenstein has been going toe to toe with his defensive partner on the TPE grind the full way through the season. Boasting the top two TPE spots in the draft class the Kraken will rightly feel they got a steal picking up von Murphenstein in the tail of the second round. Von Murphenstein isn't performing quite to the same standard as his partner and the pair have seen their fair share of opposition goals going in. Joint with Olson on goals, von Murphenstein has 2 fewer assists meaning he's on 8 points so far and with a lower +/- at -9 von Murphenstein will also be looking forward to hitting the cap.

3. Tomas Lind, LW, 223 TPE
Lind may be behind his compatriots TPE wise but this man is slaying it on the ice scoring points. A young and hungry left winger, Lind has a knack for finding the net and is very good at setting up his team as well.
So far on the season he has 15 points, made up of 9! Goals and 6 assists. He still has a -ve +/- at -7 but as stated before that's to be expected as a rookie. Lind is really making his mark as a rookie and no doubt the Kraken will be ecstatic with his performances so far and will be looking forward to putting him to more use in the future once he hits his first cap.

Overall: Carolina Kracken have found some absolute gems in what was already a very deep class. What they've got in skill they lack in depth though, with the rest of there draft picks looking unlikely to work out, (never say never though). This could really go against them in future years as they lose their stars to the shl the Kracken could be left with a lot of holes to fill.
It does look promising though!

Approved, +5 TPE @Asked Madden
