Hello SHL,

Today, during the live-sim, our simmer accidentally experienced a runaway sim error that was made exponentially worse due to the lack of saves after every sim. He went back to re-sim them with the same result, except one game resulted in a shootout win instead of a win in regulation. This is a problem because according to international rules, points are awarded differently depending upon one of three results - a win in regulation, a win in OT/shootout, or a loss. So, as a result of this, the current standing results are not accurate and every game after the Sweden - Team North America game now needs to be re-simmed.

We have elected to not punish KenitohMenara for this incident but rather issue a formal warning, as this is their first season simming and they have brought some innovative and creative ideas to the table to improve our presentation. KenitohMenara acknowledges their error and accepts full responsibility for the incident.

As a result of the rather exhaustive work that will be required to replicate the already determined results, tomorrow's sim will be delayed a day to give Kenitoh the opportunity to get the file back to where it should be after today's sim. The tourney will continue at the normal times on Monday, 8/16.

FYI - Everything will remain the same except the NA/Sweden game which ended 5-1 for Sweden, instead of 5-4 OT Shootout.

This is an outrage. There's no place for sensible punishments here! We need pitchforks and torches!

I mean... Thanks for the heads up, I hope the Sim works itself out sooner than later for him.
