S64 Colorado Raptors Captains

In S63, we were able to draft an unbelievable group of rookies with some equally great free agent signings. With one of our rookies being named an Alternate Captain immediately. We are always blessed with such great users throughout our history. But to see so many great young players coming in and making a difference is incredible. To start S64 we had another amazing draft. So we are excited to name our Captains to lead this team which 3 are returning Captains from S63.

The Alternate Captains

Jamal Nightingale (@academydropout)

Jamal Nightingale is staying with us for one more season, and returning as an Alternate Captain. I wish we could keep this stud on defense forever. Nightingale will anchor the defense and we will rely heavily on him to make or stop plays. Academy cant wait to see the next food concoction you will have for us.

Evan Winter (@RomanesEuntDomus)
Evan Winter had a historic rookie year. 47 points as a rookie. Simply amazing. Given his keen offensive skill and awareness, his teammates have named him an Alternate Captain. Winter will be in for a bigger role this season. RED is such a great addition in the LR with his knowledge given his various site jobs.

Binko Koivu (@goldenglutes)

Returning Alternate Captain, Binko Koivu. Another stud on Defense. We saw Koivu grow as the season went on last year. So we will see an even better Koivu this year. Koivu is another great role model and he leads by example. A great player for all players to look up to. Glutes obviously just great to have in LR. Another great source of knowledge and a great voice to have in LR.

The Captain

Shoyo Hinata (@Gordon Bombay)

Shoyo Hinata had a record season for Colorado last season. He is an elite talent and a serious offensive weapon for us. But he is not all show. He leads. He helps out his teammates both on and off ice. Gordo is, as I have said numerous times, such a pleasure to have on our team and in the LR. He does so many things, whether its helping test, helping teammates, or just chatting. He truly deserves being Captain.

Honorable Mention:
So this season in voting, we had 12 different players receive votes. Which I believe is the most that I have seen for us. It just shows what kind of group we have. We had another rookie very close in voting as well. Sébastien Dubois (@JR95). Incredible to have more rookies showing up and putting in the work. The team definitely recognize that. But also there was one random vote for a ........ Lord Raiden???ME??? that cant be right. Who is trying to earn brownie points here. Lol Anyways

Congrats to the S64 Colorado Raptors Captains. We look forward to another great season and we are excited to get started. LET’S GO DINO GANG!!
